We can't really call that an environment. Each of us uses his preferred editor. Then you need make/gcc/binutils/gdb/strace/tcpdump/netcat and some hex editor if your protocol is binary. Git is highly recommended. It will help you stay up to date, send fixes and manage up your work as you want. Willy
