I ran this a few times while both processes were live and the numbers
weren't significantly different. The new process still has a remarkably
high proportion of epoll_wait.


Thanks. So the problem is still here. I just noticed this is the new process that is looping, not the old one. Could you provide the output of "show sess all" command on the CLI (and maybe "show fd" too) ?
