Ah that would be very possible indeed, as I know he did quite a massive
number of 1.9 backports recently, and he tends not to push them until
being really certain (which I constantly complain about, since exposed
code is always better tested than when kept locally).

We'll try to issue several releases today before a new deluge of bugs,
and to close 1.9 once for all.
