AFAIK make install works correctly if you do not have *sh.exe in path
and your environment plays well with long filenames.
If you have and you didn't set SHLVL=1 envvar then both fails just
like
most of other GNU make builds. If you install DJGPP with bash.exe then
or you have any other shell in your path then please set SHLVL=1
before
you run make_gnu.bat
Open Watcom 1.7 (command.com)
I can look at it to work with *nix like SHELLs but please remember
about
setting SHLVL if you do not execute make process from the SHELL.
I have no bash or sh in my path.
Actually the problem with DJGPP seems deeper, I've now corrected
_all_ paths to be short ones, but install for some libs still doesn't
work, and the reason is pretty obvious: only the .a files with long
names are not copied.
