Thanks Pritpal. That doesn't work either, but it causes me to read the doc more carefully :-). It turns out that the "update" command should not be followed by the URL, but the PATH to my local repository instead. For the clarity to those who gets the same problem, the correct command is: SVN update trunk or SVN update harbour or SVN update trunk\harbour depending on the working directory.
