Hi,
I'm not sure if it is optional or not, but sometimes it could be helpful for clever translator to find context of original text, etc.
If we want to remove it, I suggest to add hbi18n switch, instead of compiler switch. hbi18n has much more free switch namespace. Translation line stripping functionality also fits hbi18n better.
Regards, Mindaugas
I'm not sure that filenames + linenumbers in .pot comments are a standard requirement or they are optional, but if the latter is the case, may I ask for an option to suppress them (or part of them)? For two reasons: 1) After most .prg modifications the filename/lineno pairs multiply and pile up in my final .po files. So they grow and grow unless rebuilding them regularly. What's more annoying is that it ignites changes for all .po files after essentially each commit. 2) Sometimes I may not want to publish filenames and line numbers for confidentiality reasons. +1) In many cases filename/lineno isn't necessarily / terribly useful for translators. I can also imagine an option to omit the line numer and leave the filename, which fully solves 1). Is this possible to implement?
