No, but I got the same errors with make_gnu.sh under MacOS
But, now that you are using a DEB based linux distro, you should try
to build the *.deb package, it's more easy to install/uninstall
just type in the harbour dir:
./mpkg_deb.sh
Once that you have the package created harbour****.deb you can install
it with:
sudo dpkg -i harbour****.deb

PD: You need to install debhelper and fakeroot packages too:
sudo apt-get install debhelper fakeroot
