I have applied your patch in r13412.
Can you update from SVN and report back if everything is 
patched properly. I have not tested the menu options but 
seems pretty complete.

Valuable implementation. Yes, in this way this can be fetched 
from outside of the code.

This is a philosophical question.
Let us take group's opinion on this issue.
I will decide later if we should change it or keep as is.
Can you forward me a screen-shot how your new-look toolbar
would present itself ?

This is a very useful idea. But I cannot see highlighted text.
May be the complete patch is not applied properly.

I have merged your changes. Download r13412.
It will be easier for me to merge changes of future.
