I've never used tprn, but given a .png file you need to read it so that you
have a DIB or BITMAP in memory.

I think so.

I read that some printer drivers are accepting png
and jpeg directly, ...

IMHO the correct direction to hbwin is allow printing JPGs and PNGs if takes it 
into memory.
