I do not use ActiveX, so no chance to test, but line olecore.c#1091
could be changed to:
if( pParams->rgvarg[ iCount - i ].n1.n2.vt & VT_BYREF && ii < iRef )
for additional protection in case of more than 32 parameters by reference.
