Hi ! Tests have began. Radio Elvi, Mieslahti, Paltamo, FINLAND 90,0 Mhz (40w) started broadcasting already on Saturday 5th June after 1730 UTC. Reception reports are welcomed to: Radio Elvi, c/o Tanja Kemppainen, Rinnetie 12, 88300 Paltamo, Finland.
The station is operated by local hams and media camp youth until Friday 11th June 2004. More information can be get from: www.paltamo.fi/~oh8uv/radioelv.html. Some of the program may be in Russian too. The main broadcasting language is Finnish. Most of the music played on the radio is Finnish. You can also hear news at :00 minutes produced by the children in the camp. Perhaps next year we can even use MW tx. This year the signal is better than last year.
