PERU 3329.59 Ondas del Huallaga (pres.) CHU has been off leaving this in the clear today. 1005 Huayno mx w/Harps easily cutting through the static. Canned short promo by M and W after every song (1006, 1009, 1013, etc.). Finally live M anncr at 1027 w/ment of Amazonas, then back to mx. Too much static and fading, otherwise would have been good opportunity to get a nice recording of this w/CHU off. (Valko 2 Oct.)
PERU 4835.47 R. Maranon Big OC, then start up at 1001:40 w/canned full ID w/freqs by alternating M and W, the probably every canned ID/promo they had in their studio!!! One included ment of "50 anos" repeated like echo. Finally into beautiful OA Harp Huayno mx. Roosters during song at 1008. Always at least fairly strong but modulation is rather low. The ID/promos are really animated. Great stuff!! This has to be my favorite OA for pgmming. If this is indeed their 50th anniversary, it would be a good time to write them. (Valko 2 Oct.) BRAZIL 6089.96 R. Bandeirantes No sign of Caribbean Beacon at 0924 t/in. Tlk by M, TC, usual Cat meowing often, ment of California, Sao Paulo. 0926 ID/promo by M, tlk by W then M. Canned ID over mx at 0929. More canned anmnts and Bon Dia, then another ID. Caribbean Beacon finally came on at 0936:42 w/10 seconds of OC then audio on in mid-preaching. (Valko 3 Oct.) BOLIVIA 6079.95 R. San Gabriel Already on at 0950. Time ticks at 0957:22!!! Good enough to ID but didn't stay w/it. M tlk in Aymara. Ment of campesinos. (Valko 3 Oct.) BOLIVIA 6134.8 R. Santa Cruz Came on this morning at 0913:13 w/OC and canned ID/promo and live M w/ID, ment of "tres de frecuencias" and QTH. Fair but abt equal strength w/the ZY at this time. Clearer later. (5 Oct.) Next morning came on at exactly 0915:00. Seems to be coming on around 0915 now. (Valko 6 Oct.) COLOMBIA 6035.02 LV de Guaviare 0954-1004, Nice Rancheras amid slop from 6030. Live M at 1002, then canned ID by M, and cont. live M but clobbered. (Valko 5 Oct.) PERU 4965.83 R. Santa Monica or Santa Ana?? 1004 M over mx in pres. Aymara w/ment of Amazonas, Enrique Rodriguez, Peru, and ending w/ID again sounding like R. Santa Ana. Into campesino mx. 1007 clearer ID as R. Santa Ana. 1009 buenos dias and another R. Santa Ana ID, then more campesino mx for a minute. Seemingly comunicados, followed by Huayno mx. Roosters and canned ID (weak audio) during song at 1016. More of the same. Decent signal still at 1030 but dropped out like a rock quickly after 1030 and nearly gone 7 minutes later!! Been checking for this nearly every morning since first hearing it 3 weeks ago. Finally reappeared. Troubled by het from the ZY below so used USB. IDs are definitely Santa Ana. Did they change their name or could it be a pgm as Bob Wilkner suggests?? (5 Oct.) Heard again this morning at 1002 but much weaker. Same M anncr. Strong enough to hear the "Santa Ana"s though. (Valko 6 Oct.) ECUADOR 4918.97 R. Quito Back on again!! 0856 nx or press pgm. Mx bridge and ID by M. Still distorted, but strong w/QRM from ZY below. Mx pgm after ToH. (Valko 6 Oct.) PERU 5014.43 R. Altura Already on at 0950. Nice canned ID during ad block at 1004, then live M anncr. Poor to fair. (Valko 6 Oct.) BOLIVIA 6079.96 R. San Gabriel 1007-1030 Alternating tlk by usual M and W anncr hosts in Aymara w/many ments of Politica. Ment of R. San Gabriel by W at one point. 1011 campesino mx, back to tlk at 1013. Fading pretty quickly after 1015. (Valko 6 Oct.) Conditions not very good this morning (7 Oct.) so nothing to report. The way things go these days, its almost a given that conditions will be awful on the weekend!! 73 Dave ---[Start Commercial]--------------------- Preorder your WRTH 2007: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0953586499/hardcoredxcom/ ---[End Commercial]----------------------- ________________________________________ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://arizona.hard-core-dx.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/ _______________________________________________ THE INFORMATION IN THIS ARTICLE IS FREE.
