Hi,

did a lotta listening during the holidays. Here are the most interesting
loggings:

7180 kHz, Jan 01 2007, 0223 UTC, AIR Bhopal, heard the AIR Interval Signal
under the Voice of Turkey. Quite a rarity to get AIR regionals on 41m! However,
it was totally gone by 0250. SINPO at the beginning: 32432

7290 kHz, Jan 01 2007, 0228 UTC, AIR Thiruvananthapuram, another AIR regional
station made it after Bhopal showed that it's possible. AIR Interval signal,
SINPO 42433.

4824.48 kHz, Jan 01 2007, 0322 UTC, La Voz de la Selva, Peru, with latino music
and IDs, SINPO 34333. The only interesting station on 60m, long missed here.

6070 kHz, Jan 01 2007, 0140 UTC, Belarusskoye Radio 1 via Brest, in Russian
with dance music. Surprisingly strong signal from a Belarussian lowpower, at
SINPO 53443. The only other frequency of BR1 at similar strength was the second
Brest frequency, 6010, at SINPO 42432 with IRIB disturbing.

9480 kHz, Dec 31, 2006, 2233 UTC, BBC via WSHB, in English, report about the
Taliban. SINPO 33322.

7270 kHz, Dec 31 2006, 1443 UTC, Asian mix of (presumed) Wai FM Sarawak and PBS
Nei Menggu, with one man talking and another one chanting. Too garbled to even
get an idea about the language used. Killed at 1445 when VoR signed on with its
Farsi broadcast opening.

4777 kHz, Dec 31 2006, 0557 UTC, Radio Gabon, african music and French news,
SINPO 43322.

4770 kHz, Dec 31 2006, 0555 UTC, Radio Nigeria Kaduna, English, news about
Nigeria, SINPO 43322.

5910 kHz, Dec 31 2006, 0448 UTC, Marfil Estereo (Colombia), latino music and
IDs, SINPO 32432. My first log for this country since the days of CARACOL 5075
and Radio Nacional 4955!!

9494.75 kHz, Dec 31 2006, 0350 UTC, Apsua Radio (Abkhazia), in presumed Abkhaz
language, music and clear IDs, slightly distorted audio, SINPO 34322. Parallel
to 9535.0 where the audio seemed to be better but the signal was covered by
REE. 9535 SINPO: 42322. Another new station for me, and the only one from
Georgia currently, apart from the sparse Radio Hara.

7380 kHz, Dec 30 2006, 2110 UTC, Voice of Biafra International, in English,
Jesus help Biafra, usual canned ID. SINPO 44333.

4780 kHz, Dec 30 2006, 1948 UTC, Radio Djibouti, phone-in, SINPO 32322.
National anthem and closedown at 2001.

4005 kHz, Dec 30 2006, 1848 UTC. What's wrong with Vaticane Radio? Not on 4005
but on 4004.3 instead, and in USB! Power restrictions? This one is not via
Santa Maria but from the Vaticane city site. Slovak programme with infos, SINPO
33332.

3985 kHz, Dec 30 2006, 1844 UTC, Echo of Hope, one of the Korea-vs-Korea
stations, singing, SINPO 22321. In parallel to 6348 where SINPO was 24311.

350 kHz, Dec 29 2006, 0151 UTC, NDB "SPM" from Speyer (Germany). Rarely
reported, but now I live only 70km from this one, and there it was with faint
morse ID.

Rx: JRC NRD-525
Antenna: 25m wire in the trees. Homebrew loop for LW.
