** ANTARCTICA. 15476, Nov 11 at 1439 at first no sign of LRA36, but then a
carrier becomes JBA; nothing on 15480 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** GUAM. 5765-USB, AFN now with music format instead of talk, a nonsensical
change for the worse perhaps at the whim of whoever controls this transmitter:
Nov 11 at 1325 C&W music as Ron Howard has been reporting. No Diego Garcia
audible on 4319 for comparison, nor Florida on 5446.5 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** INDIA. Nov 11 at 1310 I am getting numerous carriers on 60m corresponding to
AIR stations, while an hour before nothing much was audible. Local sunrise in
Enid was 1305, so we are in grayline mode. First noted on 4810 with some S
Asian music, then also on 4840, 4860, 4920, 4940, 4965; but best audio on 4920,
so stayed with that from 1312 in S Asian talk by YL, 1315 song mixing with
talk, still in at 1323 mostly YL talk. 4810 is Bhopal relaying Mumbai, per
Aoki, and 4920 is Chennai (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** INDIA [non]. 12005, Nov 11 at 1329 S Asian music, 1330 announcement in
unrecognizable language, more music, flutter. Per Aoki it`s Gospel for Asia,
250 kW due east from Wertachtal, GERMANY, in its complex schedule from 1330
shows on Thursdays = day 5 it is in Tharu, as well as on Wednesdays, while
other days in Tangkhul, Nockte and Rongmei (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** JAPAN. 6055, Nov 11 at 1329, Japanese announcement listing several MHz, kW
and JOZed callsigns, as R. Nikkei is signing off to 1330*. Tsk, American
English influence wanes. Closing time varies by day of week so it`s 1330 on
Thursdays (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 660, funny song about a tiburón, Nov 11 at 1245, then live local DJ
at 1246 with TC as 13 para las 6, ``en La Tremenda . . . Delicias``, then TC
for 12 para las 6, and then refined to 12 y media para las 6. Show is ``Buenos
Días con Miguel Navarro``. So it`s XEACB in Ciudad Delicias, Chihuahua,
observing MST of UT -7, so pre-Oct 31 on UT -6 it should have been denoted MDT
and not CST.

1000, Nov 11 at 1230, ranchera music in KTOK OKC null. Fits for XEFV, La
Rancherita, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, so presumed.

1180, Nov 11 at 1253, harmonious ballad duet by YLs with piano, then added
chorus; only ID caught was ``11-80``, and into romantic music by Gardel-like
crooner; 1258 losing out to KOIL Omaha Bill Bennett promo. In all probability
XEDCH, Ciudad Delicias, Chihuahua, which is ``Romántica 11-80`` per WRTH, and
was getting same town a bit earlier on 660, today`s pipeline terminus. Then at
1302 after not so long Mex NA, heard Delicias, Chihua2 and romántico mentioned
to clinch it, but not really a sign-on (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MOROCCO. 15341.1, RTM, Thursday Nov 11 at 1440 Arabic music, very weak het
from 15340 today, presumably HCJB Australia. Harold Frodge in Michigan reported
hearing a surprising set of foreign languages on 15341.15 at 1445-1501* 2
November, including German, Hebrew!, Arabic and French, but none of that today
until 1457, just more music and Arabic as far as I can tell, tho modulation is
deficient. Presumably what he heard happened to be on the relayed domestic
service, and Nov 2 was a Tuesday, in case that matter (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** NIGERIA [and non]. 15120, Nov 11 at 0715 French mentioning President Obama,
fair signal, VON as scheduled to Europe at this hour. Only station on band
(OSOB); VOA Botswana might also have been audible before 0700* as previously.
13 MHz had a couple of signals, BBCWS Ascension in English on 13820 and 1Africa
Zambia on 13590. Now`s the time for unusual nightmiddle openings from the
tropix (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** SAIPAN. Not much making it from Asia on 25m, Nov 11 at 1208, so I was
surprised to find good signal with YL in Vietnamese on 11895. It`s KFBS at
12-13, altho aimed far away from USward at 278 degrees (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** SPAIN. 5970 seems to be the frequency REE intends to use for 00-01 English
to NAm, as reconfirmed Nov 11 around 0030, altho they can be a bit late getting
switched over from 6055 at 0000. After 0100, 6055 back on in Spanish, not
English, squeezed by Cuba now on both sides (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** U S A. Not to be outdone by Cuba relaying Venezuela, WEWN also transmits an
open carrier instead of Spanish on 11550, Nov 11 at 1428, while 12050 was
normal, i.e. Spanish plus squeal (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** VATICAN [non]. 9865, VR via CANADA, Thu Nov 11 at 1201 check still in
Spanish as from 1130, RCC news, fair as had not built up to full strength here
an hour before sunrise. This reconfirms that there is no English even on
weekdays, contrary to VR`s own schedule and those who copy it, such as HFCC.
Aoki misses VR on 9865 completely. EiBI now has it correctly as Spanish, but
the 1200-1215 portion as Mon-Sat only, which I think is a misinterpretation;
instead, just Spanish 1130-1215 seven days a week (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** VENEZUELA [non]. 11705, RNV via CUBA, Nov 11 at 1206: just open carrier. Now
please add the modulation and we`ll be in bolivarian socialist business (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. TP MW carrier search Nov 11 at 1218, on the DX-398 in USB mode, 9
kHz steps: 594, 693, 747, 774 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ###
