NIGERIA 15120 - yesterday Oct 8th evening UT time heard on DRM mode.
This morning Oct 9 at 0800 UT VoNIgeria in English in AM mode, clean audio,
signal not buzzy today.

EQUAT GUINEA 15190 at 0810 and 0910 UT Oct 9 rather EMPTY CHANNEL.
Two tiny peaks seen under threshold on 15190.0 and odd 15189.912 kHz.

RUSSIA 15195 Exact 1000 Hertz tone signal procedure heard MIDST on
Radio Tatarstan Kazan program at 0800 UT CONTINOUSLY (scheduled
0810-0900 UT), seemingly from Armavir Tbilisskaya Krasnodar site,
which is also in use in coming B-13 winter season on 12095 kHz then.

IRAN 15151.349 IRIB Arabic HQ prayer still ODD at 0825 UT, still VERY ODD
wandering frequency from Zahedan site. \\ 15570.0 Sirjan site.

PAKISTAN 15725 Radio Pakistan in Urdu scheduled 0830-1104 UT noted with
terrible modulation on fundamental, but ALSO TWO accompanied SPURIOUS
outlets, the stronger more broadband on lower 15644.9 to 15646.5, and a
weaker narrow band signal symmetrically on 15804.150 kHz.
S=9+15dB on \\ 17720 kHz.

ISRAEL 15850.006 Israel army station GALEI ZAHAL is back on 19mb, after
absence here in last week. S=8 signal in Europe at 0845 UT Oct 9. Nothing

strange carrier from an UTE sce noted on 6884.964 kHz...

CUBA. 4765, Oct 9 at 0113, new R. Progreso SW relay has quickly become just
another nuisance from Castro & Castro. It`s mostly music, but lo-fi, sounds
like ABBA at the moment. Wolfgang Büschel compared it to Rebelde 5025 and
RHC 5040 via remote SDR in Miami 48 hours earlier, and concluded that 4765
is only 8-9 kHz wide and with dropouts lasting about 1/10 of a second; 5025
is 18 kHz wide, much better for music; 5040 is 10-13 kHz wide.

Arnie Coro had asked Rich D`Angelo for an mp3 of 4765 off the air so the CE
could listen to it; also gave details of the system: it`s a 48-year-old
Ukrainian-built Snieg`50, air-cooled 50 kW, plate-modulated ``in pristine
condition``! Antenna a Nadenenko-type broadband dipole with ``very nice
horizontal and nice vertical radiation patterns``. He also suggests it start
earlier at 2300 to include a major newscast.

Terry Krueger in Florida says, ``They should just run this 24/7. Some of the
daytime Progreso is boring (radio novelas) but when in music mode, the
network is mostly very good`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

EQUATORIAL GUINEA [non]. 15190, Oct 8 at 1919, 1926, 1958 and 2119 chex, no
R. Africa audible today; before 1930 there was a JBA carrier, presumably R.
Pilipinas. At 1919, propagation was OK from 15140 Oman, but zero from 15540
Kuwait (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
