AUSTRALIA. 17840, May 7 at 2137, no signal from RA, when there should at least be a carrier; but 15240 is audible. Shepparton`s transmitter-F, on the 70 degree antenna right toward us, is down! DXLD yg members say 9580 was off earlier May 7, and Jerry Lenamon, Waco, says 17840 was already absent by 0330 May 7. It`s the same transmitter. Wolfgang Büschel has a schedule from RA showing they do have a 100 kW Continental, #7 (instead of G), on standby 24 hours, so where is it now?? The three we normally hear are designated C, E and F, while A, B, and D are OFF.

17840 is still missing May 8 at 0015 check, as is 9580 at 1214 May 8, while weaker 12085 and weakest 12065 can still be heard, S9 and S5 respectively. The `day` frequencies run 21-09 UT, and the `night` ones 09-21 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
