Voice of Vietnam English Service on 12005kHz via Wooferton, UK heard on
August 29, 2016 at 0230UTC in Galena, Alaska, USA (Rural central interior,
300 miles east of Nome, 300 miles west of Fairbanks)

A SINPO rating of 44444. The signal was very strong and there was no
interference but a moderate amount of fading was present. Overall, the
broadcast was GOOD and fairly listenable.

My recording starts with the interval signal/intro tune and announcers
introducing the station but saying "This is The Voice of Vietnam,
broadcasting form Hanoi, the capital of the socialist republic of Vietnam".
Then a female announcer comes on gives brief headlines and preview of the
show then starts in with the news headlines.

A recording of what I heard is here:

Equipment used includes a Tecsun PL880, 225 foot long wire oriented north
south picking up from the east and west, a Workman Antenna Switch, EmTech
ZM2 Antenna Tuner and DXEngineering RPA-1PLUS HF Preamp
