I'm in Laramie, WY And Thanks to Christopher Arthur, he's helped me ID a few. About the farthest away one I've heard is "QT", 332khz, 1000 Watts from Thunder Bay, Ontario. Actually, the airport is SW of the city limits a bit and the beacon is a few miles SW of that near whats labeled as a potato farm! Here's audio of "QT", 332khz. Something`s always wrong at RHC. 15140, Nov 24 at 1454, this RHC is off while 15230 is on; recheck at 1540, 15140 is back on at S9+20, much stronger than 15230 S9. USAGM and BBC also hastened to step up SW to Iran. Much more about this summarized on WORLD OF RADIO 2009. By 1730 Nov 24, Wolfgang Bueschel found Iran International TV on 6230, still presumably Uzbekistan, but no tone/jamming yet. Kai Ludwig explains that ``NOR`` is code for Noratus, the Armenian transmitter site a.k.a. ERV, a.k.a. Gavar, a.k.a. CJSC = Closed Joint Stock Company, per WRTH 2019 which also claims the site has 3 x 100 kW and 3 x 1000 kW SW transmitters! Altho there are plenty of nominal 500s, HFCC has not a single listing of 1000 kW anywhere (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** PERU. 4775, Radio Tarma notified Manuel M?ndez that today Nov 23 they would be testing their new 1.4 kW transmitter between 20 and 02 UT; and at 10-14, asking for reception reports. They were going to get a 2 kW transmitter so maybe this is it but not at full power. Too early to propagate here, but Mauno Ritola in Finland was seeing it by 2030 on 4775.04. Tarma sunset is not until 2310 UT (And sunrise 1028) per gaisma.com. Varies less than an hour during the year. Our sunset in Enid: 2319. At 2330 I have two stations, the stronger on the minus side around 4774.95, presumably Congonhas, Brasil, with talking and even yelling, vs CODAR on both sides. And making low het with the other. At least now easier to separate them. 4775.041, Nov 24 at 0016, now the upper one dominates with music, vs CODAR double swishes every second. At 0019 it`s recognizably ``Andean``, rather than Congonhan. Hearing same Andean music as on their webstream via https://www.radiotarma.com/ which is in $tereo and no CODAR; various IDs every few minutes, one for FM 90.9 only. Unfortunately the Programaci?n page is blank (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** SAO TOME. 13590.060V, Nov 23 at 1909, DJ in English sounds like VOA-1, but so far off frequency, and wavering slightly? Pinheira site scheduled this hour only, 100 kW at 138 degrees. Kuwait and UAE both use 13590 earlier and are more adept at offfrequenciness, but of USAGM`s own sites, ST also has a record of this, e.g. 6080+ (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** SCOTLAND [non]. 6115, UT Sun Nov 24 at 0100, `Encore` classical music from Radio Tumbril via WWCR again this week, near-perfect reception except for constant squeal on WWCR-1; 0150 starts to fade a bit and cut off at 0158 for QSY to 3215; not clear how much of the ``playout`` piece, La P?ri, was lost. Website playlist is 2 weeks old. Another chance at 0100 UT Monday on WBCQ 7490v, and maybe like last week also on 500 kW 9330 as a testing bonus (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** SPAIN. 9690, Nov 23 at 1916, no signal from REE which ought to be propagating by now; nor at 2229 when certainly if it were on, while the other 3 are OK, in increasing order of strength, 11685, 11940, 12030 still during silly ballgame (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2009 monitoring: WA0RCR, 1860-AM, MO, UT Sun Nov 24 at 0427 is still in ham SSTV; by 0500 WOR 2009 is playing at S9+30, 15-16 minutes into so started circa 0444-0445. At 0007 UT Nov 24, John Carver notifies me, ``Area 51 is also broadcasting on 9330 this evening.`` But when I check at 0215 it`s rather weak and noisy. UT Sunday A51 programming is: 0000 Timtron; 0100 GRITS; 0200 Lumpy Gravy; 0300 Euphoria; 0400 Lost Discs. But at 0359 recheck it`s already back to wacky WLC`s menacing `cello IS loop for the end-of-hour/end-of-world (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) This report dispatched at 1909 UT November 24 ------------------------------ Message: 9 Date: Sun, 24 Nov 2019 13:03:45 -0700 From: "Paul B.
