On Fri. Jan 29th, China Radio International's 200KW transmitter on 1080khz in Kunming, China made it here to McGrath, Alaska at 1603UTC/703AM AK time. No actual ID was heard, but there were quite a few news stories mentioning china and their 1080 Kunming transmitter does have english scheduled at this hour. Normally, i have a "Semi local" on this frequency.. KOAN Anchorage is 10kw and "only" 230 miles away and usually pretty loud, but not this time. Heard with a CC Skywave and 5" DeBock FSL loop antenna Audio: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1muVZ_OBztWuhdL82RXYh3u3TiCHfQ5U_/view?usp=sharing _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/ _______________________________________________
