Look for radio beacon WM2XCS/B, New Jersey, on 40.685 mhz using 30 watts with a
CW (Code) identification. Antenna is a 4 element yagi. Has been heard in
Arizona, Alberta, and Europe. Program your scanner. Reports to N2CG. Bill
Smith, W1OW, Douglas, MA

** CUBA. 5025, Jan 30 at 0720, R. Rebelde is on and modulating, but
nothing on X2 = 10050; despite frequent chex, have not heard that nor
10080 = 5040 X2 RHC lately. It seems 10080 was last heard Jan 12;
10050 Dec 11. Something`s not wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA. 13680, Sun Jan 29 at 2138, RHC in Arabic, not Esperanto; and
15140 is off: either of which have sometimes spoken Esperantely.
Something`s always wrong at RHC. However, Jan 30 at 2203, 15140 still
on late with headlines and news in Spanish, S9+10/20 the SSOB (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** GUAM. 15680, Jan 30 at 2202, S7/S9 in unID SE Asian? language,
OOFSOB = One Of Few Signals On Band. EiBi shows at 2200-2230, KSDA in
NJ to Indonesia; Aoki, Nga. EiBi readme.txt language list shows NGA -
all caps, means Ngangela/Nyemba: Angola, but that can`t be right;
while NJ, not New Joisey dialect, but: Ngaju Dayak: Indonesia-Borneo
(0.9m) (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 7255-, Jan 30 at 0652, S9+10/20 of dead air except for
squeal from VON. Something`s always abnormal at Abuja (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 9690, Mon Jan 30 at 2306, token M/W/F English from REE,
after news, Amy Egan interviewing a woman director? about a play based
on letters between two women of different ages. S9 +20 on NAm
frequency into Maryland SDR, weaker on meter but still VG on 12030 to
ME off the back, and 11940 to SAm off the sidish. Still zero signal on
11670 or 11685 to Africa. Occupies rest of semihour with 2 minutes of
song about letters to conclude (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 5960, Jan 30 at 2309, VOT VG into UTwente, last news item
about Toyota going to build E-SUVs in Turkey; 2311 `Review of the
Turkish Press`, as the CCCCCCI starts from E Turkistan, std
denunciation. 2313 song. 2317 `Feeling Supreme/The Healing Spring`
about health benefits of pickles, evidently also various other foods
pickled such as Sauerkraut: good for intestines, anti-oxident, affects
moods, ending with ``Stay healthy, stay happy``. This bit surely has a
catchy themetune: what is it? 2324 multi-lingual ID reel filler,
during which I recognize a few more languages which WRTH says are NOT
on VOT SW sked: Greek, Romanian, Hungarian. Tsk: BTW, Hungarian is
related to Turkish. 2326 song. Not attentive during 2330 NBC Eveningly
News; 2353 s/off, 2355 IS, 2356 restart IS with one German ID before
chopoff at 2356.7 uncovering XJPBS (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 4095 CW, Jan 30 at 0713 UT, Desert Whooper beacon somewhere
in the Southwest, DW ID and sweeps upward; JBA in noise level, unheard
for months on occasional chex. 2097.3 CW, single-letter beacon A every
dekasecond is still JBA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 13563.5 CW, Jan 29 at 2137, PCO, 4-milliwatt HIFER beacon at
Pine, ColoradO, is JBA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2175 monitoring: Confirmed Sunday
January 29 at 2100.5 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323 kHz only, S9+10/20
into nearby Noale SDR; 2058 ME music, faded out at 2100 for ID
claiming frequencies are 7125!, 9510, 1323. During announcement, music
CCI JBA underneath with slow SAH, probably Smooth Radio, Brighton,
England.

Missed checking UT Monday January 30 at 0030 on WRMI 7780: did anyone
hear it?

Confirmed UT Monday January 30 at 0400 on WBCQ Area 51, 6160 minus 64
Hz = 6159.936, S9/+5 VG into Maryland SDR. Next:

0130 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW
1000 UT Wednesday Unique R, Australia 5035 USB [low power]

Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid, OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 4980, Jan 30 at 0717, S9+20 of dead air, another WRMI not
turned off, #4 supposedly scheduled 23-05 UT only with System C
Legends; but the System C program schedule below unshows 4980 at all!
nor for any other System (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 17790, Jan 29 at 2131, S9+10 of dead air, still past 2141.
WRMI did not turn off #7, scheduled 1500-2100 only, Radio Africa
Network, toward S America, not Africa. NO details of programming as
perhaps ashamed of some of the dead and discredited gospel huxters
they are so excited, jumping for joy, to diffuse. WRMI sked refers to
https://www.radiopanam.com/
where no program sked can be found, nor specifically via:
https://www.radiopanam.com/impact/radio-africa-network/
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 900, Jan 30 at 2230-2300 UT, KSGL Wichita KS, I find myself
listening to while resting/napping for some nice music: nostalgic love
songs, like `Midnight Gambler`, `Green Eyes` today. It`s 250/28 watts,
direxional E/W squished but sufficient signal to Enid, barely beyond
the daytime fringe contour per radio-locator. I never hear it at night
tho XEW hardly merits protexion any more. KSGL is split/personality
between `Music You Remember` -- is that a satellite syndication? And
gospel-huxtering, fortunately each in distinct segments. This leads to
program schedules and other info: http://www.ksglradio.com/
Official FCC sunset times in UT: 2330 Jan, 0015 Feb, 0030 March... I
think it used to be IBOC, but too weak here to notice noise circa 887,
913; and no longer listed as such in NRC AM Log (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** VANUATU. 7260, Jan 30 at 0653, R. Vanuatu is JBA still here,
unchecked whether 7890 & 11835 after 0659 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA 9/kHz split MW carrier search, Jan 30
at 0656: 855-2, 1044, 1089 kHz. Lowers would be Spain, but none on
1089, rather 700+ kW of TalkSport synchros, UK. No 846 TP Kiritimati
this time (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 10001 USB, Jan 30 at 0718, 2-way intermittent, unseems
Spanish; inadvisable right next to WWV/H! (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
