** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RC USB, June 28 at 1814, it`s time for another
Wednesday transmission of LRA36 --- but, no signal so far by 1934 into
Argentine remote -- one of them that does get plenty else on its
waterfall. Nor at final recheck 2046. Maybe Saturday (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** ARGENTINA [non]. 9395, UT Wed June 28 at 0118, RAE in English via
System G, WRMI-6 with DX Axuality log items in alfabetical order by
country, Algeria, Antarctica, Bolivia, Canada, Congo, Liberia... sound
familiar like a report from Manuel M?ndez, Spain, and fairly recent,
LRA36 as of June 17. At 0124 on to non-DX news headlines.

9455, UT Wed June 28 at 0120, I hear RAE with the same English
announcer, but regular non-DX news, a separate episode! In both cases,
musicbits inserted between items: god forbid one should have to listen
to someone talking for a few minutes with no musical relief! Trouble
is, System K on WRMI-5, 9455 is supposed per websked to be in
`Legends` at 0000-0200! This is strange. Something`s odd at Okeechobee
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. 15920 S1/S3, 15760 S4/S6 and 15340 S1/S4, June 28 at
2211-2214, Chinese talk, all CNR1 jammers vs Sound of Hope per EiBi
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 9535, June 28 at 0623, S8/S9 undermodulated Spanish, unusual
for this RHC frequency to be running overtime; anything else?

11760, June 28 at 0627, RHC Spanish overtime instead of English again,
S9/+10 with squeal. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** KURDISTAN [non]. 17460, June 28 at 2215, JBA S4/S1 music,
presumably Recep`s TRT jammer against Deng? Welat; no trace of any
other signal below 17500, and not much except Spain above; higher
priority than mere VOT, see TURKEY (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ROMANIA. 11800, June 28 at 2207, RRI English is detected and on
direct at S1/S4 so insufficient, but better than no Turkey neighbor on
11785 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Wed June 28 at 2200, token English from SNR, previews
feature, interview with owner of a LGBTIQ+ bookstore, in today`s
preferred initialism, which does start at 2206 after news. S9/S7 VG
direct, and also on 15520, 17715 and even JBA 11670 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.009, June 28 at 2203 and 2233 chex, VOT English for
us fails to put any signal into UTwente. Something`s always erroneous
at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U K [non]. 17640, June 28 at 0635, BBCWS in English, interview
about elexions, the SSOB at S3/S6, 265 degrees from MADAGASCAR; //
weaker 17830 which is 170 degrees from VATICAN. BBCWS typically
operates in 1-hour blox per relay, like 06-07; in HFCC, 17640 gets
another hour at 07-08 by switching to SAO TOME (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2196 monitoring: confirmed Tuesday June 27 at
2330 on WRMI 9395, S7/S9 into UTwente, S9/+10 into Missouri SDR.

Also confirmed Wednesday June 28 from 2059:59 on WBCQ 7490 -72 Hz =
7489.928, S7/S9 into Maryland SDR; clock and/or automation must have
been reset instead of traditional Play :21 seconds after the hour.
Next:

0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW [NEW]

Thanks this week for generous financial support from Gerald T.
Pollard, Raleigh NC, who sent a quarterly seasonal check to Glenn
Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702

One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds to:
woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7505, June 28 at 0116, WRNO is again/still AWOL (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15150, June 28 at 0632, WMLK still active here but JBA
instead of blasting in; much weaker than several other 19 mb stations.
Must be propagation as still VG into Europe per:

``[bdxc-news] WMLK 15150 kHz, Jun 28, Is this a new frequency?
Currently hearing 555 English religious programming with very clear ID
at 0700. Very strong signal. David J Morris, Lytchett Matravers, near
Poole`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5980 & 5890, Wed June 28 at 0639, WWCR is OFF these
frequencies as scheduled weeknights, unlike Tue when there was TOMBS
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9265, Wed June 28 at 2210, WINB is JBA in HSNL but I can
detect English intonation, not Spanish as claimed on mistimed program
schedule, vv to yesterday (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 90.1, June 28 at 1455 UT, Radio Kansas, after emotional
``Nimrod`` by Elgar, special fund-raiser to ``buy three new
transmitters --- it`s time``. One may get a newly redesigned mug for
only $50. Well, this old transmitter of KHCC Hutchinson HQ station is
still doing very well, completely capturing 90.1 from KUCO on a
household radio, with a little help from the troposphere. The others
are KHCD 89.5 Salina and KHCT 90.9 Great Bend, seldom heard here.
WTFDA shows 100 kW ERP except for 50 on 90.9. Apparently just these
with some overlap, no translators:
https://radiokansas.com/coverage-area/
Details on the situation: https://radiokansas.com/
R. Kansas is an excellent classical/news station; only wish I could
hear both it and KUCO on different frequencies. Tropo overnight also
favored BBC News via KHCC instead of KUCO classical. 185 km = 115 stmi
to site just east of Hutch.

Plenty tropo on the APRS map now, so after 1500 UT June 28, a DTV scan
finds BAD signals on RF: 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 20, 21, 26, 28, 31, 34,
some of which correlate with Kansas. Unusual is 15 which must be DX
QRM to OKC`s KOPX baddenizing it: presumably KSNW, 650 kW, ``3``, NBC
for Wichita. The Zenith STB now takes 20/30 seconds to upboot after
onturn (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU [and non]. 7260, June 28 at 0642, NO signal from R.
Vanuatu, which had been reliable here; nor at 0645 on 7890, 11835
which would appear as harmonix if back on 3945. Anomaly, or another
periodic schedule change for no particular reason? No Nigeria either
7255-. Agreeing:

``[bdxc-news] Radio Vanuatu off-air again --- Radio Vanuatu is off-air
again. It was heard on 7260 kHz at 1830 UTC sign-on yesterday (27
June), but was absent by 0930 UTC today (28 June) on 7260 kHz or the
alternatives of 3945 and 5040 kHz (sign-off would normally be at 1100v
UTC). Still missing at the time of today?s expected sign-on at 1830
UTC (0530 Thursday in Vanuatu) Tony Rogers (using Brisbane KiwiSDR,
Australia)`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 7400, June 28 at 0643, JBA carrier, suspect pirate R.
Vostochnaya Zvezda with his few watts or whatever he`s calling it
tonight (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 17755-17760-17765, June 28 at 2216, loud DRMish noise
but metering S3, nothing listed now in HFCC, EiBi or Aoki, but CRI in
DRM on 17760 at 07-09; RRI also uses 17760 at other times but only AM.
After 2300 I try various KiwiSDRs with DRM enabled, but nothing (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 17946 USB, June 28 at 2218, a few fonetik words,
military? Seldom hear any aero activity at all on this band, but EiBi
shows a possibly busy channel: Azores, Ireland, NY, SF via AK or HI.
Via Maui SDR at 2216 I do JB hear some more ATC comms, selcall tones
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
