** CHINA [and non]. 13720, July 2 at 1347, very rough carrier here
with some talk, tone. Aoki & EiBi show this hour has CNR1 or Firedrake
jamming and RFA Tibetan via TAJIKISTAN. BTW, RFA Tibetan is making a
whole bunch of frequency changes July 3 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. Sound of Hope and consequently CNR1 jammers are attracted to
frequencies ending in XX920: July 2 at 1443, JBA carrier on 14920,
then on 15920 instead; and also on slightly stronger 13920 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13700, July 2 at 1347, no signal direct from RHC.
Consequently no huge spurblobs out of that transmitter either. I`m
seldom monitoring before 1400 so make a point to check this today,
since nominal sked was 1100-1400. Searching archive of reports I do
not find anyone else reporting at least 13700 for many months. Seems
at least one RHC transmitter be permanently off. Other frequencies
AWOL are 11880 afternoons, 6060 and 6100 evenings/nights (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 7475, July 2 at 0639, JBA talk vs S9 HSNL,
presumably anti-Christ pirate Station YHWH; tnx to tips from Lucas
Bandura, Walt Salmaniw and Eric Fetters-Walp on the WOR iog who were
still hearing him around 0630, much later than usual.

7400, July 2 at 0640, JBA carrier here too, presumably Radio Eastern
Star or whatever currently named (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 96.9, July 2 at 1658 UT, futile bandscan for Es can`t
help but notice that local KQOB is in dead air for 2+ minutes, but
remodulating by 1702 (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** SAO TOME E PRINCIPE. 15460, Sun July 2 at 1442, S7/9+10 algo just
barely modulated. Only listed this hour is VOA in Kirundi/Kinyarwanda
on weekends only. Before 1400 it`s RBAustralia in English daily (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

July 1:

[bdxc-news] Radio Thailand new schedule from July 1st

Dear Valued Listeners, We would like to inform you about an important
update regarding the schedule of the Radio Thailand World Service
(Shortwave Radio Program). Effective from July 1st, 2023, there will
be a change in the broadcast schedule. The new schedule will take
effect at 0000 UTC.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Best regards,
Radio Thailand World Service
0000-0030 English 13750 kHz
0200-0230 English 13750
0500-0530 English 17640
1200-1230 English 9940
1230-1245 Vietnamese 9940
1245-1300 Mandarin 9940
1300-1315 Japanese 9940
1315-1330 Malaysian 9940
1330-1400 English 9940
1800-1830 English 7475
1830-1930 English 7475

?? Does this mean all broadcasts in their own language, Thai, are
canceled? Why don`t they say so? Check 13750 at 0030-0200. The others
are more or less as in B-22 WRTH. A hotlink heading the sked goes to
disgraced FB, not even to own website. Glenn

Yes, only Radio Saranrom continues on 1575 kHz. There's an unfortunate
error in
https://wrth.info/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/WRTH23_INT_Summer_13.pdf
1330-1400 9940 kHz should also be in English, not Thai. Mauno

Yes. This question was asked on their Facebook page: ".....But will
there be no more Thai programs in the future?" And Radio Thailand
World Service responded:
"And yes, we will no longer have Thai program from Jul, 1st." 73 Alan

Coming in well on an SDR in Indonesia at 0005 UTC, in English, on new
13750.
Harold Sellers, Vernon, BC

Jakarta is still getting a noisy signal on 13750 at 0037, something in
English about China. Well, HSK9 English used to be 30 + 30 minutes
from 0000. What will happen at 0100? Glenn

0047: I have not listened closely but it may well be CRI, per Aoki
00-01 this hour in English on 13750. Is Harold sure it was Thailand at
0000, no China QRM either?

Thailand had been on 15590 per Aoki but nothing there now. Was
0000-0030 English, 0030-0100 Thai, 01-02 break, 0200-0230 English.
Glenn

Yes, I heard them talking about events in Thailand. I hope to check
again at 0200 for their next English half-hour. Harold

Heard again via the Indonesia SDR. Radio Thailand signing on in
English at 0200 on 13750. ID heard, but VOA Radio Deewa was stronger.
Radio Thailand needs to try another frequency. Harold Sellers, Vernon,
BC

As also noted here via Jak. If these are both really from Udon Thani
site, what a mess. Nobody noticed they already had a program on 13750?
Even if different sites, unacceptable. Maybe to Harold direct RT in
English rules? Later after 0200: no signal direct to here from
anything on 13750 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.009, July 1 at 2215, VOT is not off the air, rather
VG modulation and S9+25/35 signal into UTwente; something about
Dracula? I`m mainly monitoring elsewhere but a few chex here: 2225
multi-lingual ID filler reel. 2241 something about cheese. s/off and
IS chopped before completed even once at 2254.7* No finesse!
Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 4750, July 2 at 0643, CODAR ID firing thrice as I happen to
pass here in bandscan, ends in 5 and presumably the usual WRPV785 in
California: so the `schedule` should be at :43, :03 and :23 past each
hour. Like CODAR swirshing itself, these IDs are very wideband, not on
one discrete CW frequency (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2197 monitoring: confirmed Saturday
July 1 at 2230:30 on WRMIs: 15770 S9+10 to Virginia SDR; at 2251, VG
S9+10/20 into UTwente; 5850 JBA in HSNL to Virginia; and 7730 still
AWOL.

Also confirmed UT Sunday July 2 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S7/9+10 into
Louisiana SDR, starting as always on 7780 with a rude QRM blast for
first 14 seconds.

Also confirmed UT Sunday July 2 at 0130 on WRMI 9395, S9+20/30 into
Missouri but with lite warble RTTY? QRM I have not noted before vs
9395.

Also confirmed UT Sunday July 2 from 0411 the 0315v on WA0RCR, 1860
AM, MO, but again with heavy local storm crashes.

Also confirmed Sunday July 2 at 1346 the 1330 on WRMI 9955, S8/9
direct, no jamming audible. Next:

2000 UT Sunday IRRS 1323 & 918? & 207?-Italy
0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW
0300vUT Monday WBCQ Area 51 6160v to WSW
0030 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW
2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW

Thanks this week to Ron Howard, Monterey, California for a check to
Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702, ``In memory of Noel Green. I
remember all the times he helped me with Radio Pakistan info [he was
an official monitor in the UK]. Thanks for all your help over the
