accompanied by strings of two alternating tones between brief pauses.
Their CW-like carriers zero in on 9490.0 and 9490.4 -- tones on jam
frequencies happen occasionally in different configurations; jamops

** EGYPT. 9439.995, Oct 9 circa 2130, NO signal from R. Cairo direct

1535, JBA signal; both presumed current jumparounds in the Kurdo/Turco

** OKLAHOMA. 255 MCW kHz, Oct 9 at 1526 UT, JB detectable SW, 25 watt
NDB at Stillwater, vs line noise level of S9. Had not been able to

** SOUTH CAROLINA [non]. 7570, Oct 9 at 0635, S9+25/35 of dead air
from TOMBS via WRMI (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** SPAIN. 17855, Oct 9 at 2200, VG S9/+20 into Maryland SDR, token
English from SNR by the usual Amy Egan & Maril?n Quintana, but quick
IDs come from unfamiliar voices they must have recruited for that
purpose of variety. Feature subject after news to be marking World
Mental Health Day --- what? Everyone should know it`s Columbus Day
[non], as Oct 12 would be inconvenient on a Thursday. Or the Day of
the Race as celebrated? in Latin America if not Spain. Interview
emphasizes caring for elderlies` M.H. 2226 wrapup, they invite us to
listen again but never admit English is tokenly only on M/W/F, so
anyone tuning in on T/T is in for frustration, disappointment (Glenn

** TURKEY. 11785.008+, Oct 9 at *2156.7 carrier on and soon IS and
English ID loop from VOT, S9+47 into UTwente, and soon drift up to
.009+. 2200 timesignal closely matches SPAIN via different remote.
Lotsa news, delaying `Review of the Turkish Press` until 2220, spoken
by badax so only some words understandable; and longer than usual
until 2224 music; 2228 `New Day/New Choices` about listening to Mozart
temporarily improves IQ scores. 2232 multi-lingual ID filler reel.

** U S A. My high line noise level has abated only slightly on LW/MW,
and/or conditions have improved only slightly, allowing me to detect
again some of my `regular` MCW ND beacons:

326 kHz, Oct 9 at 0730, MA, Midland TX, 400 watts
329 kHz, Oct 9 at 0731, PMV, Plattsmouth NE, 25 watts

Not confirmed UT Monday October 9 at 0030 on WRMI 7780: another airing
bites the dust without notice:, something musical instead, vs noise
blast first 14 seconds. Still showing WOR on WRMI System D sked.
Confirmed UT Monday October 9 from 0300.6 on Area 51 via WBCQ 6160-,
S8/9+5 into NH SDR with frozen wideband mode so there is ACI from 6165
Turkey, timesignal already out of the way long before 0300:00. Next:

site, both unreasonably strong if aimed away, 116 and 107 degrees

UNIDENTIFIED. 4741.5, Oct 9 at 0643, as I happen to be here during a
routine bandscan, CODAR ID fires two times, starting with WR, probably
WRPW597 as reported extensively last Feb 10/11, from the MS/AL/FL Gulf
coast, so still every icosaminute at :03, :23, :43. I think the IDs
are not ordinary CW, but just as wideband as CODAR itself, which
paused during IDs (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 9960, Oct 9 at 0616, some JBA broadcast here in splash
from TOMBS 9955 WRMI. Nothing listed; only 9960 in Aoki & EiBi is
1730-1930 R. Pilipinas. 2 x 4980? Nothing listed there except in HFCC
but not at this hour, Urumqi, East Turkistan, land of imperialist
ChiCom genocide against Uyghurs and other Moslems. 3 x 3320?
P`yongyang is there 22 hpd including now; but some new fundamental
