Hi Tony,
Sorry for the incorrect posting. My antenna got disconnected, so no signals.
Now at 1140, have a good signal from Voice of Freedom on 5920 (ex 6045), with

** MALI. 5995, March 22 at 0700, ORTM S9 of non-DRM noise blob again,
after a few days of OK modulation (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 11514.901, March 22 at 1706, into KFS SE remote,
S7/S8 of music, 1709 YL voice announcement in presumed Japanese,
another one at 1713; extremely excited high-pitched voice at
1720-1722, like a child, artificial, cartoonish. Still at 1857,
drifted to 11514.904. Further chex: at 2142, 11514.91, S7/S8. Never
could make out an ID but pirate, Hikari FM, in Arizona or Sonora. A
lot better than the usual JBA offset carrier I can get direct. If you
can get into it vs all those wsprdaemons infesting it. Gary Pence has
also been hearing this via same remote. Is it simply relaying this
``online radio station from Japan, Radio Hikari``?

Why are they always trying to get me to install something extra merely
to listen?
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SAUDI ARABIA. 11935, March 22 at 1533, awful Riyadh roarer still

direct holding its own against my noise level. Preview, about World

parliament, necessary vs Internet being blocked; new? transmitter to
be installed at Noblejas. If & when a podcast for Mar 23 be
availablized, maybe we can copy exactly what was said. Chris Campbell,
Ohio, was also listening: ``The President endorsed shortwave in the
wake of the Ukraine war even with transmissions to North America. They
didn't mention any languages and they already do that even with
English. It could be a bunch of fluff, but I hope not. I remember
seeing someone actually had contact with Justin Coe. I wonder if he
would know?`` -- well, he retired so may be out of the loop.

2308 about upcoming Semana Santa with big processions such as in
Sevilla; apartments and even balconies-only are being rented out to
spectators for prices like 700 Euro. 2309 announced own new A24 sked
without any language details: M-F 15-23 to WAf/SAtl 15390; ME/IO
15520; 18-02 NAm 17855, SAm 17715. S/S same frequencies, all at 14-23.
I wanted to be sure about ``17855`` - Might have said 17885 believed
to be incorrect, but there was a distortion/fade right at that
instant. 2312, World Poetry Day was March 21; World Theatre Day will
be March 27 but celebrated on Sat Mar 30 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 5960.005, March 22 at 2259, JBA carrier direct vs HLNL, but
none heard at 2306 direct: was VOT on & off? By 2323 I`m on UTwente
when measured, now VG S9+30/45, during music. 2328 `Turkish Folk
Tales: The Nightingale` voiced by a different YL than usual. 2332
music. 2336 `That`s Why` the badax, something about food safety. 2342
``always-by-your-side`` promo, music. 2348 `a-b-y-s`` again, music.
2352 multi-lingual 2-minute ID filler reel. 2354 s/off as if the 1330
broadcast only. Something`s always awry at Ankara. 2355.5 IS plays
only a sesquitime before chopoff, no finesse, uncovering XJRTV in
Chinese; std genocidal denunciations (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 11720, Friday March 22 after 2105, VOA `Music Time in
Africa`, VG S9/+10 off the back from Grimesland as usual into central
USA such as the Missouri SDR. We have one more week to hear this,
March 29 before the A24 sked when this will be deleted, leaving only
6195 Botswana, useless to us back here. I enjoy some of the music but
zone out during the talk/interviews, especially since there is
competition such as `Samantha Brown`s Places to Love` on PBS/OETA
Create, about Corning NY glass and vicinity (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2235 monitoring: confirmed Friday
March 22 after 2030 on WRMI webcast only; 9955 not checked before 2100
but supposed to be off; as before may have cut on during last few

Also confirmed Friday March 22 at 2130 on IRRS via AM Italia, 1323

 Hi,

Further to my monitoring last night, another look this morning at 2245
confirmed continued operation on this new channel. There does seem to be
some variation in the languages used and the order used. For example, at
2245, I heard Korean and what seemed to be an extended English weather
report. But these were not followed by Japanese or Mandarin reports - just
lots of unmodulated carrier. until I stopped monitoring past 2315. Strange.
March 21 (UTC time).
