? why 7249.957 kHz is such ODD FQY in 41 meterband
of most modern Ampegon Thomcast tx units output at Kabd site,

thats the question ! 73 wb

Yes Glenn,
TX SWITCH ON TIME IS MUCH EARLY,
noted s w i t c h o n a i r
at 07.45 UT used available px feed in English til 07.59UT,
then stn ID in Arabic first ... 08.01 UT into Persian / Farsi language to
Persia and Afghanistan

and when end R KWT Persian px regularly at 10.00 UT,

... some two ... three sentences and mx heard of then scheduled
Filipino language section
(meant in regular sce on requested shortwave 17760 kHz also to SoEaAsia PHL
target)

17760 1000 1200 50 KBD 250 84 0 216 1234567
310324 261024 Fil KWT RKW MOI 4133

why Filipino language scheduled ?

There are hundreds of thousands of Filipino native workers
living in fields and fruit plantations in Israel
and households in Saudi Arabia and UAE, Oman etc.
as low-cost workers.

I guess this mean that English on the program feed may be there from 0500, but
no SW frequencies on air before 0745 when 7249.957 switch on early before the
0800 Persian?

Re Radio Kuwait Kabd:
yes, after some months break noted R Kuwait again on shortwave trans-

World of Radio Hitlist Update

Hi Glenn, my latest Hitlist update.
https://www.w4uvh.net/hitlist.htm

1) Updated UTC offset notation for end of DST in New Zealand (RNZ)
2) Romania - RRI: Removed links to programme grids in English and
Romanian - both return server error, and have done so for many months
3) Switzerland - C M Obrecht Radio: Added entry
4) Taiwan - RTI: Updated link to new RTI program schedule effective 1
April
5) Ukraine - RUI: Updated links to Home and On-demand pages, and added
alternate link for live stream (with thanks to Alexander Miatlikov in
WORiog mail list)
6) USA - WRMI: Added link to Guero's useful alternative layout of the
WRMI sked grid (thanks to Guero for permission to use); also added
link to WRMI programme summaries

The next update is scheduled for early May.
Best wishes and 73, Alan Roe

** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RC USB, April 6 at 2207 tune-in via Buenos
Aires remote, S8 phone tones SFX from LRA36 in contact info, ID,
regular Saturday broadcast. Seems like another chaotic, soon unheard
and 2224 check definitely off, just S3/S5 noise level. Still nothing
audible at 2300, but a JBV trace on the waterfall! That SDR must have
failed, since it is audible when I move to Mendoza tho only S3/S4,
Spanish too weak for easy listening. And after 2300 there is some ACI
from that ChiCom on 15480. Before 2335, no LRA36 detectable there
either (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5800, April 6 at 0630, pulse jamming against nothing, since
WRMI ruined the frequency by putting some exile programming on it
briefly months ago. Skedgrid now shows nothing needing to be jammed,
especially when WRMI is off (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MALI. 5995, April 6 at 0632, no signal nor noise from ORTM direct.
Richard Langley says it`s also off at 1745 when hoping to record
weekly Saturday English. Wolfgang Bueschel suggests absence may be due
to Ramadan; well, it had been going and coming. Ramadan ends around
April 9 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 27184.8 AM, April 6 at 1830, gospel music broadcaster
relayed by local CB pirate - only S8/S9, weaker than last time when it
was // 105.5 so I check that first, and it`s a match again, K288FX
translator which in turn is allegedly a relay of ``K-Love``, KYLV 88.9
OKC. No skip QRM for a change on this busy channel; nor do I hear any
10m ham beacons on a quick scan. MUF must be down, not even sporadic
E? 6m DXMAP shows 71 MHz somewhere in NAm, but scattered spots are
below 27 MHz. I routinely check 27185 almost every day. BTW the WTFDA
FM Database is offline, rather DreamHost displays: ``db.wtfda.org is
almost here! Upload your website to get started.`` Huh? Surely not my
website. Still sidetracking thus at 2340 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.009, April 6 at 2206, VOT English, VG S9+25/35 into
UTwente. Lots of unID music. 2234-2236 `Turkey`s Geomarked [sic]
Products`, sounds like ``catsworth keeper`` something to do with
polishing oxcarts - another failure to communicate to an English
audience, not spelling out unfamiliar stuff. 2236 more music, really
nice with good modulation at least. 2251 multi-lingual ID filler reel.
2253 s/off as if the 1330-1430 on 13635. That`s multiply wrong,
outdated B23 emission. They should at least pretend this is the A24 at
1230 on 17620, as already accomplished some days. Something`s always
awry at Ankara. IS played one sesquitime and chopoff at 2254.8*, no
finesse. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

how reliably and precisely WOR has been aired each week.
