Radio beacon W8MI from Cheeboygan, MI heard at 0720 UTC, Sept. 10, 2024 on
.475622 mhz longwave in WSPR mode. Signals were -27 DB and -1.0 DT. W8MI is
running 2 watts. Bill Smith, Douglas, MA RX: Palstar R30A and a 529 foot
horizontal loop at 30 feet antenna.

with a weaker VK5. VK7 is Tasmania, but I`m not at all sure of VM,
could be any rhyming letters like DN, etc., etc. Fonetix not employed.
I check this frequency almost every night and nothing heard for
months. Apparently Australia, alone? allows phone on the otherwise
CW/digital-only ``30m`` hamband (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CANADA [non]. 11990, Sept 10 at 0300, c/on a few sex before, and
JIP rock music of the 4th anniversary show of Pop Shop Radio, 250 kW
via Woofferton UK aimed at N America. For convenience I`m listening
via Maryland remote where it`s S9+10/20. 0301 DJ Tony acknowledges a
fellow DJ at CFZM 740 Toronto. Music never stops as Tony talx over
non-vocal intros or outros of tunes, 0311 it was Record #1. 0313
offers QSL. 0325 ``Wild Thing`` one of few I can recognize. 0337 I
check direct: S9+20/30 almost as good but more selective fading. 0353
reports to radiopops...@gmail.com. 0354 into ``radiogram`` beepery I`m
not prepared to decode, others report as a playlist. 0359 closing
announcement, off about 0359.6*. In addition to his `regular` sked,
Tony Pavick says this one will repeat UT Thursday Sept 12 at 0300 on
Channel 292, Germany, 9670, also aimed toward North America (Glenn

band. Chanting off-mike, maybe rap music and undermodulated. Not

service on newly discovered Riyadh SDR - sounds much like those
further away, extremely rapid chirping with program audio JBA under,

** SPAIN. 15520, Sept 10 at 2159, ME frequency from SNR is back on
air, still not 15390 for Africa; along with 17715 & 17855 for America.
But if it`s Tuesday there must not be any token English, just Ladino

** TURKEY. 11785.005+, Sept 10 at 2158, VOT not off the air, IS at

dits or E`s between long pauses:
``Glenn, The unidentified CW beacon that you heard on 28201 kHz is
N4WLO, in Theodore, Alabama. He started transmitting about three weeks
ago and was assigned the frequency of 28200.5 kHz by the IARU Region 2
Beacon Coordinator. I?ve heard him several times since then, always
very close to 28200.5, but perhaps he drifted up a bit yesterday. He
does send out his call letters in between the 20 dits and long pauses
that you noted, but usually only every 8-10 minutes. In a brief post
