Ein genaues Programmschema von RRI habe ich bis jetzt noch nicht gefunden. Das
einzige ist unten stehende Aussage.
RRI on shortwave
Several programs from the Romanian section of RRI, as well as the radio show
?Radiojurnale?
at 7:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m. Romanian time,
05, 14, 16, and 20 UTC
as well as other programs from Radio Rom?nia Actualit??i,
are broadcast daily for 10 hours on shortwave
and can be received in Western Europe (including by Romanians working abroad),
Central and Eastern Europe (including Romania's neighboring countries), Israel,
and the East Coast of North America.
centrul ?i estul Europei (inclusiv ?n ??rile vecine Rom?niei), ?n Israel ?i pe

Further to Alan Roe's logging of RRI on 6145 kHz in December 2025 issue
Communication. Clear ID 'Radio Romania Actualitati' at 05.00 UTC followed by
half an hour of news, and then a talk and music show at 05.30 UTC. Definitely a
relay of the Romanian domestic service.

** CANADA. Correxions: I put two NDBs in MB instead of ON, fixed:
Several NDBs audible, not just YXL, Feb 1 at 0720-0728 UT:
346 MCW kHz, dash and YXL, 500 watts at SiouX Lookout ON;
382 MCW kHz, dash and YPL, 1000 watts at Pickle Lake ON;
per listings at dxinfocentre.com/ndb.htm

** CANADA. 730, Feb 2 at 0615 UT, CKDM promos with calls, heartland?,
plugging on radio, online, and player. Per NRC AM Log, it`s U2 10/5
kW, Dauphin MB, the word is Parkland, and also in Ukrainian. Of
course, night pattern is supposedly cardioid with notch to the south;
don`t you believe it. Dauphin is in SW MB, between Winnipegosis and

** COLOMBIA. 1310- and 1100+ kHz, Feb 2 at 0555, JBA carriers making

** TURKEY. Correxion? about which frequency reported in Panam?: time

over at 1535. Still just music fill at 1555 into KFS NW; 1600 s/off

** U S A. 660, Feb 2 at 0601 UT, S9/+10 Navajo chanting owns the

** U S A. 770, Feb 2 at 0600 UT, ``KKOB Albuquerque`` ID, JBA vs QRM

``ENGINEERING STATEMENT:
This Engineering Statement has been prepared to support an application
for modification and extension of Special Temporary Authority 0000269423,
for Radio Station KKOB, 770 kHz, Albuquerque, NM, licensed to Radio
License Holding CBC, LLC, which expires on October 15, 2025.
Because of the imminent dismantling of the remaining antenna tower at
the licensed site of KKOB, Special Temporary Authority is requested to
operate from a temporary site located at NL 35 04 04.5 by WL 106 46 46.8.
This antenna tower is 196 feet tall (above ground) and because of its
height is not registered in the Commission?s Antenna Structure
Registration System.
Operation is proposed with 1.0 kW day and night. The antenna tower will
be fed with a single flared skirt wire. The Inverse Distance Field has
been approximately determined by NEC4 calculation to be 197.75 mV/m/km
for 1 kW operation. The antenna will also be provided with 6 to 8 ?ground?
radials extending to at least 100 feet from the tower base.
The tower supports the FM transmitting antenna of KABQ-FM and the
auxiliary antennas of KABQ-FM, KYLZ-FM, and KBQI-FM. A nearby antenna
tower is the location of the main antenna for KYLZ-FM. There are no
nearby licensed AM broadcast facilities. The tower base is enclosed by a
fence which is 4 meters or more from the structure, exceeding the
requirement of Supplement A to OET-65. If necessary measurements will be
made at the time of installation to determine the ground level E and H
fields of the FM facilities outside the fenced area.

** ARGENTINA [non]. 9455, Mon Feb 2, RAE via WRMI at 2300
multi-lingual ID reel over and over, S9+30/40 direct. Supposed to be
in Portuguese at this time, and heard several times on Tue or Fri with
DX olds; but recheck 2305 now programming in --- Japanese! By 2324
music is playing. Other dates has been in another wronglang, Spanish.
Meanwhile on 15770, PRES via WRMI, excellent with news about a Polish
official refusing to recommend Drumpf for a Nobel Peace Prize, yes,
still/again pushing for it, as ``he does not deserve it`` - IMHO,
anyone openly coveting one should be automatically ineligiblized
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1070, Feb 2 at 0610 UT, timecheck for 10:10 - must be KNX
Los ?ngeles, not too unusual, but did not notice any QRM from KFTI
Wichita, or LAH as it`s been off-frequency to the minus side.
MWoffsets:
``1070 1069,9761 USA KFTI (Wichita, KS) 2024-12-25``
I did not realize it was totally off:
NRC DX News Feb 10 published Feb 2: ``Stations that have noti?ed the
FCC that they are silent: 1070 KFTI KS Wichita ? Silent Jan. 16,
damage from copper thieves``
IRCA DX Monitor Feb 7 published Feb 2:
``1070 KFTI Wichita, KS was classic country, now silent, old slogan:
?Classic Country 1070?, new: unknown (station is temporarily off-ye
ed)
Mike Sanburn sends along the following dated 1/27/26:
https://radioinsight.com/headlines/336899/copper-theft-transmitter-damage-silence-kfti/
Copper Theft and Transmitter Damage Silence KFTI, by Lance Venta,
January 27 2026
Summit Media?s ?Classic Country 1070? KFTI Wichita KS has been off the
air since January 16 following significant damage to its transmission
facilities. A filing with the FCC states that KFTI?s tower array was
damaged because of theft of copper components, compromising the ground
system and related infrastructure, while its transmitter experienced
substantial equipment failures and requires extensive repairs and
replacement of multiple components before operation can be restored.
KFTI, which utilizes Westwood One?s 24/7 Country programming,
continues to stream online. The station registered a 0.9 share in the
November 2025 Nielsen Audio ratings.
INSTANT INSIGHT: Nowhere on the station?s website does KFTI explain to
listeners that it is off the air. It also has no social media platform
where to inform listeners of how to find them as once again radio
attempts to just push its audience away`` Yet to check in daytime for
any other signal or KFTI resumed (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 9665-9670-9675, Feb 2 at 2325, awful roar in this area,
does not sound like regular DRM and none is scheduled in HFCC between
9655 and 9680, which also has nothing but a 2 kW in Germany 24h on
9670, i.e. Channel 292. Nor in EiBi, Aoki (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
