** ALASKA. 28247 CW, Feb 4 at 2302, VVV KL7L/B -- not in WGB list but
lots in QRZ.com, has been all over including Falkland Is. Only a link
to report KL7L/B, nothing more about it: ``KL7L Alaska flag Alaska,
LAURENCE J "Flo" HOWELL, 5699 EAST FROST CIRCLE, WASILLA, AK 99654,
USA`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ARGENTINA. 28365 USB, Feb 4 at 2312, LU5FMZ, CQ 10, working
Alberta. QRZ.com: ``LU5FMZ Argentina flag Argentina, Martin Alejandro
"Martin" Milazzo, Del Cauce 725, Rold?n 2134, Argentina`` (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL. 28435 USB, Feb 4 at 2317, ZV2SP, contact in English.
QRZ.com: ``ZV2SP Brazil flag Brazil, LABRE - Liga de Amadores
Brasileiros de R?dio Emiss?o,
Brazilian Amateur Radio League - LABRE, 1934 - 2026 * 92 years of
LABRE commemoration, Brazil`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. 9900, Feb 4 at 2323, Chinese S9+20/30 with very heavy echo,
suspect two sites not in synch, rather than merely short/longpath.
Aoki & EiBi show CNR1 jamming from Dongfang Hainan site vs R Taiwan
Intl (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11760, Feb 4 at 0737, RHC still on with windhowl, S7/S9,
Spanish seems about b?isbol (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [non]. 15380, Feb 4 at 1549, no open carrier yet direct from
R. Mart?; maybe they heeded my questioning wasted kWh? Already on and
modulating: 11860, 11930, 13570, 13820. Next chek at 1713 into
Knoxville SDR, same except 15380 on, 11860 off (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 9025 AM, Feb 4 at 1551, the `presidential pirate` is
on at its signature frequency, mentioning April 12, 1945, the date of
FDR`s death, and then to JFK`s inauguration Jan 20, 1961, and the
start of his speech. I`m just beginning a 9 MHz bandscan, as always
upward from 8989, so I`m bound to hit this when it`s on; continued
bandscan but by 1554 recheck, 9025 already off. Last logged Dec 11,
2025 at same time of day, note! 1554-1600* A few HFU reports say this
goes back to 2018y. UDXF has numerous logs of 9025 as a USAF frequency
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 255 MCW kHz, Feb 4 at 0713 UT, SW, NDB at StillWater is
on! Not a trace of it on nightly bandscans since first noticed missing
on Jan 2. RNA list says it was last logged on 2025-12-23; 50 watts,
nickname `GABEH` - Has had protracted offages before (Glenn Hauser,
Enid, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 5140 USB, another Wednesday at 1500 UT Feb 4, so time for
another OK Emergency net: YL NCS again WSHM692, also utters different
call KM4UJS, so can look her up as ham at ARRL/FCC search: ``Young,
Breanna M, KM4UJS, 21 Pueblo, Edmond, OK 73013, Licensee ID:
L02030576, License Class: Technician`` - S9+15 about equal to noise
level. Counts 12345, 54321. Each week there is a different selexion of
stations in roll-call - most do not reply, but does she know which
ones each week should not even be called? Compare to my reports last
weeks. This week, copied as best I can, all calls fonetikaly, twice
unless answered first; no one else mentions a ham call:
WQYW443 Beckham County
WQZT582 Broken Arrow
WQSY836 where? Byng per Don Moore, just N of Ada toward Seminole
WNPV700 Durant, Bill answers, best signal as usual
WQYW883 Moore, answered JBA
KNGR728 Pontotoc County
WPFY721 Seminole, answer to Breanna
WNBM839 Stillwater
WNBE830 Jefferson City MO
Finished at 1507, but any others?
WNBM839 chex in late, Stillwater
(Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** SPAIN. 12030, Wed Feb 4 at 2300, TS and right into weekly token
English opening from REE. This ME frequency at S9+10/20 axually sounds
slightly better direct than the S9+20/30 NAm frequency 9690, with less
fading. 17715 for SAm even stronger S9+30/40; and still no signal on
17755 for Africa. M&W hosts both on this week; among first items
previewed: ICE raids in Minnesota. 2319 report from Lebanon
correspondent (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [non]. 5960, Feb 4 at 2258, no signal direct from VOT; and
at 2337 into UTwente, nothing but Chinese, VOT off the air.
Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 293 MCW kHz, Feb 4 at 0714 UT, TOR, NDB at TORrington WY
alternating / mixing with and atop FBY FaiRburY NE. FBY is usually far
stronger or alone (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. Re 323 kHz, beacon OUK in Calhoun GA: this town is also
subject among others of current `Frontline` about PFAS:
``Contaminated: The Carpet Industry`s Toxic Legacy``:

https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/documentary/contaminated-the-carpet-industrys-toxic-legacy/
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 335 MCW kHz, Feb 4 at 0721, JBA NDB, TIK? Last letter
definitely K. RNA list suggests: BK, `CHRLZ` Brookings SD, 25 watts
which I have heard before, Oct 6 & Dec 5, 2025; or CK,`Snuff`
Clarksville TN (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 338 MCW kHz, Feb 4 at 0723 UT, RYN, 400 watt NDB at `Ryan`
Tucson AZ (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 342 MCW kHz, Feb 4 at 0724, two JBA NDBs mixing, possibly
including _MT -- RNA and DXinfocentre show only one on 342 is ST, 25
watts at St Cloud MN (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [non]. 353 MCW kHz, Feb 4 at 0725, dash and PG, 25 watt NDB
at PortaGe la Prairie MB. Notable that LI, 25 watts at LIttle Rock AR,
which used to be regular on 353, has vanished; removed from
dxinfocentre roster, and RNA list says 400 watts last logged
2025-11-10 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 28216.5 CW, Feb 4 at 2306, beacon ID N7MA - still missing
from WGB list, as explained from QRZ.com in my Nov 3, 2024 log: Mark T
Avakian, Cataldo, Idaho (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 28250 CW, Feb 4 at 2310, slow beacon DE KI6MTV/B: WGB list:
``28250.0 KI6MTV/B - Shingle Springs CA USA CM98mq - #0 (06 Nov
2024) Note: ID only - Slow keying`` and QRZ.com: ``KI6MTV USA flag
USA, Michael R Hislop, PO BOX 121, SHINGLE SPRINGS, CA 95682, USA`` -
have heard it before (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [non]. 9310, Feb 4 at 1553, VOT via PHILIPPINES has resumed
Korean talkmod, after music fill yesterday and yesteryesterday (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

As a noncommercial public service program, financial support
appreciated. Thanks this week to Gary Drew, Cranfield UK, for a
contribution via PayPal not necessarily in US funds to woradio at
yahoo.com And says: ``Hi Glenn. many thanks for the regular programmes
of World of Radio and the legacy of archives online. Long may it
continue. Wishing you Good Health and happiness for 2026 from Gary and
on behalf of everyone at Laser International``

One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to
Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 4840 & 5935, Feb 4 at 0730 UT, WWCRs still off air. Likewise
12160 & 13845, Feb 4 at 1650. How much longer? (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 9455, Feb 4 at 2301, since it`s Wednesday, WRMI not RAE but
VORW, following DW Afrika via WRN, FSN. John explains about WWCR 4840
where he also has some hours, still off the air since Jan 24 or 25?
They say transmitters, antennas not destroyed, but are awaiting thaw
before undertaking some other repairs. Doubts they will be back on
even by Mon Feb 9. Fears he will lose audience due to the dead air
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
