** BRAZIL. 6180 // weaker 11780, Thu Feb 12 at 0754, RNA going from
token English to Spanish with another episode about samba schools.
Spanish version has heavy Brasilian accent: it`s just too much for
your Braz to stop slurring and speak Spanish with precision even if
they be otherwise fluent. These were already on before 0730 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11760, Feb 12 at 0739, RHC S9+35 of windhowl only (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Feb 12 at 2010, RHC windhowl only, 11880 clear dead
air. SAWA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 9025 AM, Feb 12 at 1551, presidential pirate with
clip of JFK inauguration, S7/S9, off already at next check 1556. Maybe
on and off for next hour? but not followed further. Today should have
been Lincoln. But turning radio back on at 1853 still tuned to 9025,
there`s JFK again until 1556; and one more check at 1853, S8/S9 of
JFK, 1855 a bit of Sousa and back to FDR.

Terry Krueger, NW FL, had reported Feb 9 at 1604: ``Active until 1533,
then back up at 1558 and still going. Mostly just looping the JFK and
FDR inauguration speech radio reels snips. Clear/fair as I hit Send``

** U S A. 9955, Feb 12 at 1554, WRMI talk in English, very
undermodulated, as often/always the case on this legacy transmitter;
is it ailing? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7505, Feb 12 at 0731, WRNO still on S9+20/40 with
gospel?/rock (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 850, Feb 12 at 0745 UT, screaming gospel huxter in
English under KOA. In the NRC AM Log, of a few REL formats, most
likely: WXJC Birmingham AL U4 50/1 kW; WQRM Duluth MN D1 50 kW; KFUO
Clayton MO L1 5 kW but would not expect screamers on this Lutheran CMS
station. In any event, someone is out of order (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1070, Feb 12 at 0747 UT in continued vacancy of KFTI, I
hear KNOW -- but no similar call listed, probably part of a wordified
phone number. There is no AM station with call KNOW, but FM 91.1
Minnesota Public Radio in MSP (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 18985, Feb 12 at 1545, JBA carrier again, OSOB (Glenn
