Subject: [WOR] IRIB Arabic section started using 11690 KHz

Hello Dxers
I picked up the Arabic section of IRIB (with a fair Audio for a change) on
11690 KHz around 9:00 UTC in my QTH in Cairo Egypt
They used to be on 15135 KHz around that time of the day with only a carrier on
but no Audio for sometime. But today 15135 was off not even a carrier.
Best 73 and good DX

disTORTED, mostly readable if you put up with it. A different kind of
problem than usual. 15140 is much louder but so is the windhowl. 11760
not on. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11880, Mar 14 at 2126, RHC poorly audible in English into
Georgia SDR. Evidently a nominal English hour now also at 21-22 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** FRANCE. 6150-6155-6160, March 14 at 2338, DRM noise S9+10. EiBi
shows TDF Digital irr. this hour in French to N Africa (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6979 AM, March 14 at 2332, pirate music S9/+10; 2355
announcements mention ``circa 1965``, WDWA, 970? Radio, various
jingles, ``All day, Saturday``; wild DJ, WDWA, --?--, New York to
2400* sharp off. Several IDs as ``NINE!`` here which I never heard,
and WVWA:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,160131.0.html
I wondered if relay or airchex of a real station? NRC AM Log has no
WDWA or WVWA; and no similar 970 call in NY or anywhere (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA, 6950 USB, March 14 at 2333, pirate music S9+10/20;
March 15 at 0009, music sounds best tuned to 6950.05 USB. By March 15
at 0009, ID as ``You are listening to Mix Radio International on
shortwave``, back to music, past 0044, S9+20/30 direct. Many logs here
from 2148 to 0143+:

** NORTH AMERICA. 6925 USB, March 15 at 0044, pirate music S9+10.

Thanks this week to Martin Gallas, Springfield IL, who says, ``Glenn,
Thanks for your efforts to support Short Wave Radio all these years.
Let`s hope we all live to see sanity restored to our gov`t, more
specifically to the VOA, RFE, RFA etc.`` with a contribution by check
on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702.

One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to:
woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 12160, Sat Mar 14 at 1700, new time for `The Talking [sic]
Machine Show` on WWCR-2, but reception is VP direct and to various NAm
remotes, with K=5 and G1/G2 geomag storms. We listen to it anyway via
stream, but the Windows Media Player just keeps repeating the greeting
and nothing else; we can hear it via the alternative Web Player,
http://wwcr.gsradio.net:3863/index.html?sid=1
but not via
https://www.gsradio.net/shows/WWCR_PLAYERS/wwcr2.html
This is very strange (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
