Hi,
Currently there is no signal from Tibet PBS on 6050 kHz, thus reception
of ELWA from Liberia is possible here in Central Poland.
Best Regards,
Wojtek Zaremba
Legionowo, Central Poland.

Didn't last long. Tibet is back on 6050 kHz from 2055UTC, only carrier
now, but enough to block any trace of ELWA reception.

** CUBA. 5025, June 9 at 0642, R. Rebelde, S9+25 of dead air marred by
HSNL (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** MALI. 5995, June 9 at 0645, S9+ music, ORTM talk in French unless
there be a Bambara word, ``avec``. Often missing when checked around
this time (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA [and non]. June 9, DXMAPs show lots of Es on FM, but the
nexi are just a little too far away, putting us on the far edge of
activity. Anyhow I tune around in three sessions hoping for a little
movement. Otherwise, I note some nearer stations not always audible,
FWIW.
97.3 at 1739 UT, turn on caradio already tuned here and what do I
hear? ``This is how legends sound, US-97``, i.e. KXUS Springfield MO
again, 100 kW. This station really gets out groundwavewise. 260
miles.
105.9 at 1759, KQ-106, YL DJ, rock; 1803 stillwatermill.com ad, Radio
Oklahoma Network promo; 1804 Childress {TX} ad, weather without
locations, ``KQ106, Oklahoma`s Best Mix``. Not a Stillwater station
where there is only a translator of something, but in southwest OK:
KQTZ 105.9 HOBART OK ADULT CONTEMPORARY THE MIX KQ106 22820 100.0 kW
311.0 m 34-52-15 99-17-36 3C47 KQTZ KQ-106 The Mix!
Paradisebroadcasting kom {sic}
At 1857, Altus ad, also in SW OK; 1904 Wichitalivestock.com, another
misleader, i.e. in Wichita FALLS {TX}, KQ-106 still. 174 km/108 stmi
100.1 at 1802, Woodward OK ad, vs heavy ACI from Enid LPFM 99.9.
KWFX 100.1 WOODWARD OK COUNTRY SPIRIT COUNTRY 100.1 22823 100.0 kW
264.5 m 36-22-31 99-28-31 4AB1 SPIRIT COUNTRY KWFX YOUR COUNTRY 100.1
136 km/85 stmi
Woodward County population, 2020 census, was 20,470; estimated down to
19,752 in 2026. Garfield County, headed by Enid, was 61,514, down to
60,771 in 2026.
Enid/North Enid/Lahoma/Waukomis have only five full-power FMs, the
heftiest of which, 96.9 KQOB is really halfway to OKC. Yet
Woodward/Mooreland have TEN full-power FM stations 6+ kW, two of which
are 100 kW. Why should a county with one third the population have
twice the number of FM stations? Isolation may be a factor. They cover
a wide rural area, too far from OKC, Amarillo, Enid or other major
cities; Enid is *too close* to OKC, within coverage of many FM and
almost all TV stations. Our original TV station, KGEO 5, was hijacked
by OKC to become KOCO with ABC.
97.3 at 1909, not KXUS but loud & clear silly baseball talk, for a
minute or two before fading, surely sporadic E; all I could tell was
not // KCRC 1390 which is Fox SR, so maybe that was ESPN. Beyond that,
no clue. WTFDA FMDB finds only one 97.3 non-translator overtly ESPN in
slogan, WENJ Millville NJ. Sports format applies to only two other
non-Fox full-powers: KWFN San Diego, KTTU New Deal TX (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)
** TURKEY. 11785, June 8 at 2211, no signal from VOT English direct;
still no signal at 2252 check into UTwente. Something`s always
erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2350 monitoring: confirmed UT
Tuesday June 9 at 0330 on WRMI 5850, S9+30/35 into Georgia SDR,
cutting off `Freedom Synergy Radio` pro-Taiwan in English, which
continues on 7780.
Also confirmed Tuesday June 9 at 1310 the 1300 on WRMI 9955, S4/S5 JBA
direct; ECSS helps a little.
Also just barely confirmed Tuesday June 9 at 1400 on WRMI 9955.
Also confirmed Tuesday June 9 at 2000 on IRRS SW via AM Italia,
1322.993, S9+10 into nearby Noale SDR. Next:
2230 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];
2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975, 6160 [not last week];
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
2330 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;

S7/S8. Headed
6930 USB, this one turned into AM by now, but they weren`t sure it was
still Stern Radio as earlier:

``It was Sternradio the whole way through and in AM the whole time
from 0412 sign-on. I caught almost 2 1/2 hours. not the greatest
reception but one of
{my} better catches of them. Tony Pavick``, BC (Glenn Hauser, OK,

UNIDENTIFIED [non]. Re: ``91.9 at 1458 UT June 8, Air One in $tereo,
// Enid 91.1. But WTFDA has no Air 1 on 91.9; nor spelt Air One,
anywhere. And own website
https://www.air1.com/
is NOT helpful in finding stations by frequency, or anyway?!``
``Glenn, I bet your 91.9 at 1458 was KPGA Morton TX. It was in most of
the morning here in Yukon. Database shows it as Air1 (all run together
like that). jz`` - John Zondlo, OK
Tnx, John! I see the great majority of Air1 stations appear that way
in the db rather than Air 1 or Air One. Morton is between Amarillo &
Hobbs near the NM frontier. There is another 91.9 one in Amarillo,
lower-powered.

UNIDENTIFIED. Re: ``96.3 at 1514 UT June 8, promo something on 100.7 -
a sibling to KSCS?? In The Metroplex that`s KWRD-FM Highland Village,
The Word, religious, relation unknown``
``Glenn, KSCS 96.3 and KWRD-FM 100.7 in DFW are separately owned, the
former by Cumulus, the latter is Salem Media. I strongly doubt KSCS
would be promoting anything about KWRD-FM. Stephen Luce, Houston,
Texas``
Stephen, OK; can you suggest some other 96.3/100.7 pair in the/my area
which are Salem? Or I should say, any 96.3/100.7 pair jointly, not
necessarily Salem.
``Glenn, Salem has three ?Word? stations on 100.7: DFW, Houston and
Colorado Springs. DFW is the only one of those three that also has a
96.3, though separate owner. Tedious process, but you could always go
to Radio-locator.com and search for stations on 96.3. Clicking on
location hotlinks for each of those would bring up a full market
listing, which could be checked for any stations on 100.7. Perhaps
some sort of AI application could speed that up. Otherwise I don?t
have a quick answer. Stephen Luce, Houston, Texas`` (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
