** OKLAHOMA. 90.5, June 30 at 1905 UT, `The House` modulation is
continuously breaking up, but sounds OK on primary 89.7 and another
relay on 88.7. But by 1922 check, 90.5 is no longer // 89.7. 90.5 is
KGVV Goltry, 14 kW; 88.7 is KLVV Ponca City, 11.5 kW; and 89.7 is KJTH
Ponca City, 100 kW. Axually, tho siblings, I thought 88.7 had
different programming (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)
** TURKEY. 11785, June 29 at 2200 and later chex, no signal from VOT
English into UTwente, nor on accidentalternate 9875. Something`s
always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

June 29 at 1958 the 1930 on SW Radio Gold, Germany, 3975.001+ S9+15
and 6160.000- S9+5/10 into UTwente.
Also confirmed Monday June 29 at 2339 the new 2330 on WBCQ, 6160 -76
Hz = 6159.924, while 7490 is OFF. Both were on at earlier check 2107,
see separate explanation about problems with 7490.
Also confirmed UT Tuesday June 30 at 0330 on WRMI 5850, S9+20/40 into
Georgia SDR; `Freedom Synergy Radio` about Taiwan interrupted for WOR
but continued on 7780.
Also confirmed Tuesday June 30 at 1324 the 1300 on WRMI 9955, JBA with
ECSS direct.
Also confirmed Tuesday June 30 at 1424 the 1400 on WRMI 9955, S9/S5
into Bonaire SDR.
Also confirmed Tuesday June 30 at 2023 the 2000 on IRRS SW via AM
Italia, 1322.994-, S8 into UTwente. Next:

** U S A. This explains why WBCQ has been missing from 7490, per FB 1
day before June 29 - why not show the exact time and date posted??
``WBCQ The Planet 1d ? Due to technical problems with our 7.490 khz
{sic} transmitter, we have temporarily switched all 7.490 programming
to 6.160 khz. We are working to restore our 7.490 services as soon as
possible. You may also listen on our online stream as usual. We
apologize for any inconvenience.``
I had not heard 6160 at all until checked June 29 at 2107 into NH SDR:
6160.000 -76 Hz = 6159.924 -- but 7490.000 -78 Hz = 7389.922 is also
on now but distorted, both with last Friday`s `AAAWWW`. This may also
explain why 5130- was running way late on UT Sunday as I reported, but
off at usual 0300+* UT Monday. Apparently the only WOR airing sked for
Monday 2330 will also be on 6160 and distorted 7490. At least they
have managed to maintain WBCQ`s signature frequency offsets (Glenn

** U S A. This answers my question about the status of 590 in Omaha:
``590 WOW NE, Omaha - 6/20 0158 [EDT] noted w/Oldies format, ``AM 590
WOW Omaha`` legal ID at 0200. A fair signal was heard, mixing with
WVLK. Call letter change, ex-KXSP, format change from ESPN. (EB-MO) =

Terk Advantage loop, SDRplay RSPdx software-defined receiver, W6LVP

** U S A. 1080, June 30 at 0700 UT, KRLD Dallas, once a strong CBS
station now with ABC News. 1120, likewise KMOX St Louis.
Wayne Heinen, editor of NRC AM Log, needs info ASAP about such changes
at many other ex-CBS stations in the wake of CBS News self-destruxion.
As deadline for the next edition is nigh. 870 WWL ought to be another
easy check, but it`s often inexplicably weak, like now. 1520 KOKC had
`generic` news at this time, tuned in late, but never heard a network
attributed.
At 1800 UT I`m listening to the KOKC translator on 95.3: no formal
news opening, but first story mentions NBC News; by 1807 there is the
Radio Oklahoma News Network -- no such name in the 2025 NRC AM Log,
not the same as Ag Network (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 11995, June 30 at 0709, S6/S8 open carrier, with some
clix. This reminds me of Africa Number One, and there has been a
report that Gabon is wanting to reactivate it, but unlikely yet. RFI
in Hausa listed at 0600-0630 via Issoudun, probably did not get turned
off (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
