** EAST TURKISTAN. 9685, July 13 at 2215, Chinese music fluttery
S9/+10. Yep, it`s another CRI `Portuguese` broadcast, this one via
Kashgar. At least they keep up the years-long tradition of musicking
instead, while Cuba fails to do so at 2300 on 13650 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
** OKLAHOMA. 27183.8 AM, July 14 at 0149, local CBer relaying Air1,
91.1 in Enid; but at 0158, something else on 27184.5 (Glenn Hauser,
Enid, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA. 101.3, July 14 at 1610 UT, it`s 85 degrees in the
McAlester area; 1631 about land in SE OK. 1700 ID as ``KMCO
Wilburton-McAlester, Today`s Best Country``. Coordinates indicate site
is much closer to McA than Wilb which is about 25 miles E of McA. This
is the only somewhat unusual log in over an hour of bandscanning for
sporadic E, which never quite reached here. WTFDA:
KMCO 101.3 WILBURTON OK COUNTRY K-101 FM 37777 100.0 kW 188.0 m
34-59-13 95-42-10 2FF2 KMCO 101.3 This is today's country Country
250km/156 stmi to McA

34?55?32?N 95?46?24?W McAlester
34-59-13 95-42-10 KMCO as above
(Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)
** PHILIPPINES. 12140, July 14 at 1451, VOA Korean S6/S8. Except for
Mart?es on 11860 & 11930 from GB, the SSOB. VOA Korean has been
expanded to 24 hours, as Kwon DaeGeun informed us July 10: M-F at
0930-1530, which is the third and final repeat of the original 6 hours
on 9950 at 1530-2130; then 2130-0330 12140, 0330-0930 15120 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
** TURKEY. 11785, July 13 at 2201, JBA carrier direct from VOT, but
then I JB hear a timesignal to 2202. Apparently this week of no new
news, not even olds, also gives the timesignaller a rest, some time
off (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2355 monitoring: confirmed Monday
July 13 at 2330 on WBCQ 7490 -79 Hz = 7489.921, S9+10/20 into Maryland
SDR = after two minutes of deadair when previous preacher finished at
2328. 6160- is off again.
Also confirmed UT Tuesday July 14 at 0330 on WRMI 5850, S7/S9 into
Maryland SDR.
Also confirmed Tuesday July 14 at 1300 on WRMI 9955, S4/S5 JBA with
ECSS direct.
Also confirmed Tuesday July 14 at 1401 on WRMI 9955, JBA S3/S6. Next:
2000 UT Tuesday IRRS SW via AM Italia 1323;
2230 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast];
2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975, 6160;
2330 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160;
2330 UT Thursday WRMI 5950 to NNW.

Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 9735/10135 approx., July 13 at 2216, huge splatter out of
TOMBS on 9930 WTWW, at modulation peaks the way BS yells. Maybe
extending even further if not overtaken by line noise level, but it`s
terrible closer to 9930. Some QRM to 9955 WRMI and potentially to
10000 WWV. Also with the parasitic spurs including readable modulation
at 9917.1 and 9942.9 kHz, i.e. plus/minus 12.9 kHz which also applies
to other frequencies when employing the same transmitter, such as 5085
or 5920. 9930 fundamental is S9+40/50. I notify WTWW ASAP about this
advising turn down the modulation level. By next check at 0007 July
14, the splatter has diminished and the parasites are gone, so may
have swapped transmitters; but I still would not want to be within 30
kHz of 9930 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 15770, July 14 at 1449, no signal direct from WRMI.
Propagation degraded but not that much. At 1509, also no signal into
Maryland remote so off the air; nor 7730. But 9395 is audible. 15770
is on at next check 1836 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 1200 kHz, July 14 at 0700 UT, Spanish music about equal
level to WOAI with C2CAM; whatever became of the original ``clear
channel``? Surely WRTO Chicago, U4 20000/4500, not with TUDN sports at
this hour. Surely on day pattern and probably power, with major lobe
to SW, rather than night pattern going mostly north (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. re La Ley, 1190: ``I'm not much help on this one, except
to agree that this is almost certainly a US station. The only two
Mexican AM stations I've ever noted using the slogan "La Ley" were
XEGS-610 and XESD-1530, both over 20 years ago.
I looked at the two Arkansas stations on 1190, but neither of them are
co-owned with the company that operates the two "La Ley" stations in
Arkansas, and I haven't seen any compelling evidence that either of
them has changed format or slogan recently. That being said, Arkansas
stations are not exactly known for good web presence. I see that
KREB's old "Red Dirt" web site is gone, and based on a few quick
searches this afternoon they don't seem to have created any online
presence for their "Ozarks 100 FM" re-branding, so it might be worth
looking into. https://amdxer.com/ambc/ lists KREB as regional Mexican
"Radio ?xitos," which is interesting. KREB has also been reported as
staying on after hours as recently as May. HTH/73 Tim Hall`` KREB =
1190 Gentry AR, address in Fayetteville, D1 3000 W C&W in last year`s
NRC AM Log. 1190, July 14 at 0643 again hearing Radio La Ley non-IDs
and promos, and past 0700+;
[non unID] 1190, 0702 July 14, the 90-watt KVSV Beloit KS ID again
audible (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
This report dispatched at 1939 UT July 14
