FRANCE 'Mini Transat' Yacht race weather radio service via TDF Issoudun
on 7340 and 17545 kHz today Monday July 27, via TDF Issoudun SW center.
Yes today Monday July 27th noted on air from 15 UT:
7340even at 15.04 UT, French female presenter weather report read at S=9+25dB
signal level in southern Germany remotedly.
At 15.19 UT switched to English language report.
TDF ISS used their 100 kW ?faulty audio modulation? transmitter on 7340 kHz
channel, which brought that typical BUBBLE jamming audio sound underneath.
This faulty TX modulation observed there in past two decades,
never repaired that unit / audio line feed,
was in use for example often on 9490 kHz night service of Radio Republica
back signal towards Cuban audience.
Also FAULTY observed in the past in use for NHK World R Japan relays
mornings in 49 mband
towards EUR, NE/ME/North Africa then.
17545 kHz even S=9+15dB on ?short skip? kilometers distance into southern
Germany today at 15.11 UT.
Same weather report in French \\ 7340 kHZ
and from 17.19 UT also in English language.
(next channel is 17630 kHz also proper signal of CRI African relay site
Bamako center no.#2, S=9+20dB English 15-16 UT, July 27)

FRANCE 'Mini Transat' Yacht race weather radio service via TDF Issoudun
on 7340 and 17545 kHz.
Tuned into man with French weather forecasts at 15.11 UT on 7340 kHz today
Friday 24 July. At 15.20 UT lady in English reading weather reports took
over. Voices were familiar as heard on 'Mini Transat' broadcasts in pre-
vious years.
After checking HFCC.org database in A-26, could also hear weaker \\ on
17545 kHz (TDF via Issoudun bcast center at 15.00-16.00 UT).
There's an event, 'Les Sables' to the Azores and back, 'Mini Atlantique'
so presume the broadcasts are for participants in that:

Broadcast ended around 15.55 UT.

in English. Thanks for the reminder! 73, Walt (Masset, BC)

Subject: [HCDX] Glenn Hauser logs July 26-27, 2026
Message-ID: <[email protected]>
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8
** EAST TURKISTAN. 9710, July 27 at 0055, S9+10/20 in Brazuguese
accent reciting complete? schedule of CRI in Portuguese, presumably
just finishing the almost-hour of music fill which is still heard in
background until dead air from 0056.6. Portions noted match with page
609 of WRTH 2026. This one is via Kashgar. Yet another exercise in
futility (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** JAPAN. 11815, July 27 at 1453, S5/S7 `Waltz of the Flowers`
classical from what else? NHK in Japanese. The only English frequency,
11800 from 1400, is already off (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA [and non]. 930, July 27 at 0516 UT, C2CAM, UFO discussion,
George and YL guest with distinctive voice so I bandscan rapidly for
matches, at the moment: 940 960 980 1000 1040 1050 1100 1110 1150 1200
1230 1420 1440 1510. The point is, no WKY OKC audible on 930; it`s
puny at best at night, maybe off now? (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA. 27184.37 AM, July 27 at 0042, S9 steady open carrier,
presumably the local CBer who often relays Air1, KKRD Enid 91.1. From
my previous report, Terry Krueger in NW FL got him at 1852 UT July 26:
``Your 27185 pirate is blasting in here currently. Parallel the Air1
net stream. Proper log to follow with others probably tomorrow.
27184.69 currently, AM mode`` viz.:
``27184.69V OKLAHOMA (PIRATE) Enid 1835 26 JUL 2026 AM mode. Abruptly
popped up with a very strong signal, maybe just signed on (?) as I'd
been on the channel for a couple hours for background noise. Boring
modern, slow Christian praise Jesus vocals. It's a relay of the local
KKRD, 91.1 MHz per Glenn Hauser in Enid, OK. Parallel the Air1.com
network stream to boot. Occasional male voiced "Air One, Worship Now"
sweepers. This is the Enid pirate Glenn discovered and has been
frequently reporting for quite some time. Yes, it really does make it
out of Enid on E or whatever skip. Around 1859, it began varying down
and up rather rapidly, up to .785-ish and down to .42-ish when
wobbling, then stabilizing for a spell. Bored with it therefore I
tuned out at 2005Z.
27184.79 NORTH AMERICA (PIRATE) 1955 26 JUL 2026 How amusing. Someone
popped up atop the Enid, OK pirate with a quick "This is Trenton
Military, out" and off. Someone knows his remaining Canadian shortwave
transmitters. KPR lives! Terry L Krueger, NW Florida logs, Boggy, la
Rep?blica de Florida Occidental Ocupada, IC-R75, NRD-535, ICF-7600GR,
ICF-7600D, Tescun PL-360, active loop, random fence-stapled wire,
misc. junk``
However, next day relay another gospel huxter; has also relayed
commercial 95.7 KXLS; 27184.70 AM, July 27 at 1426, steady S9 now
relaying K-Love with ID // 105.5 Enid translator, K288FX. Another SW
station and I bet they don`t even know it (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA [and non]. 89.1, July 27 circa 2000 UT, NPR ATC weak //
91.7 KOSU a word or two later, with CCI, so KMUW Wichita and Enid
translator again maybe on but barely powered (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA. 103.1, July 27 at 0258, KOFM Enid in dead air, still past
0305. By 0328 check, it`s OFF (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)
** ROMANIA. 11620, July 27 at 0048, RRI in English is S9+20 but very
undermodulated; while 11800 in Romanian, with music, has good
modulation, also S9+20/30 on the meter, both received via loop
antenna. I must agree with this July 13 reply to my previous report
about one being Tsiganeshti, the other Galbeni on almost the same
azimuth: ``Glenn, on my recent checks of RRI English on 11620 at 0000
I?ve found the signal level to be decent, but the audio level is
consistently low. Meanwhile RRI Romanian on 11800 always has robust
audio, thus the apparent reception difference. Stephen Luce, Houston,
Texas`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** TURKEY. 11785, July 26 circa 2245, VOT English not off the air in
quick check into UTwente. Something`s not always erroneous at Emirler
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U K O G B A N I. 11253 USB, July 27 around 0700, YL VOLMET as I am
dozing off. EiBi shows nothing but RAF Mililtary 1 from ic site (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 28232+ CW, July 27 at 0032, EEEEEEEEEE DE W7SWL/B
...TUCSON... QRZ.com: ``W7SWL USA flag USA, ROBERT J COOMLER, 7322 E

unit made by Vlad, AA7DJ. The antenna is a roof mounted homebrew 1/4
wave verical. Reports are always welcomed. Thanks!`` (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)
** U S A. 28291 CW, July 27 at 1423, beacon K5TLJ/B, OBOB? WGB list:
``28291.0 K5TLJ/B - Trumann AR USA EM45rq - #0 (09 Mar 2026) Note:
Slow keying start with AR ? 3 + de ID - Pwr 5w`` - rather close for
sporadic E, 666 km/414 stmi. QRZ.com ``K5TLJ/B USA flag USA, Terry L
Jones, 700 Smith St, Trumann, AR 72472, USA`` Have heard him before
(Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR)
** U S A. 50073 CW, July 27 at 0033, VVV VVV DE N0KP/B EN34 - QRZ.com:
``N0KP USA flag USA, DAVID P KLEINDL, 1957 DAVIS CT, SHAKOPEE, MN

432.273 1 watt into a vertical at 30'
Equipment includes FT817s and FT-857s for transmitters.`` (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 50094+, July 27 at 0034, fast CW: CQ K0XP K0XP -- certainly
a minimalist, a marker, not with a DE or a K. QRZ.com: ``K0XP USA flag
USA, STEVEN M HARRISON, 5647 Adobe Rd #23, Twentynine Palms, CA 92277,

** U S A. 15555 USB, still not hearing WJHR on random daytime chex as
of July 26, but got this:
``Good day, Mr. Hauser. I was listening to this week's WOR (#2357) and
you mentioned that you haven't heard WJHR or any reports of it
since June. I wanted to let you know that I logged it on Sunday July
19 as I was doing band scans, sometime between 1918 and 1926. It was a
little off of 15555, on 15554.950 USB. For content, my log just says
"Preaching", which I guess sort of covers WJHR. I heard this in
Palmyra, NJ on an AMNVOLT V4 with a 23' clip-on wire antenna. I've
been listening to World of Radio since the late 80's. Thank you for
all the years of information! - Anthony Fusco``
Then I do hear WJHR, July 27 at 1448, S3 gospel huxter on 15555 USB
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 860, July 27 at 0514 UT, KKOW Pittsburg KS, U2 10/5 kW, is
dominant at S9+40, on day pattern/power? Normally I can hear French at
night from CJBC Toronto if not CBKF-2 Saskatoon. Axuallly night
pattern has big lobe thisaway,
https://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=KKOW&service=AM&h=N
which does not explain why I was not hearing it much until now;
ex-STA? (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR)
** U S A. Sporadic E FMDX session, July 27 1525-1615 UT, except for
one from ==Utah==, instead finds tropo across KS as far as Kansas

UNIDENTIFIED. 9057, July 27 at 0052, open carrier S9/+10 with clix at
irregular intervals, audible out to 9036/9079 or so before below the
noise level. What is this? Does not end in -6 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 15893-15937 approx., July 27 at 1450, multi-tonal,
multi-carriers beating against each other S9+5, wideband about 54 kHz
as usual. What is this? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED [and non]. DXMAP indicates some Es FM DX paths could be
reaching us, so I check the caradio in the hot garage with outside
temp circa 100, UT July 27 from 0003:
87.7 at 0003, trace of talk in unknown language.
92.1 at 0005, Spanish, music, missed ID ``=== FM``.
92.3 at 0005, Spanish music very briefly
95.1 at 0006, Spanish talk fades up to good signal, religious about
Cristo - but mixes in English, ``and this from Los Angeles``, apparent
mailbag program later mentioning Bott, so this is only KQCV OK. Beware
of their occasional? Spanish.
103.5 at 0010, rap music, lyric like ``BB-Cow-BO`` over and over. Is
this DX or is the Okie finally on air and audible? The latter since
0023 ad for Langston University:
KVSP 103.5 ANADARKO OK URBAN CONTEMPORARY POWER 103.5 2189 100.0 kW
600.0 m 35-15-04 98-36-53 4900 (KVPG) KVSP POWER 103.5 - No Program
Type or Undefined. 150/93
I had not been hearing any trace of it during FMDX bandscans this
month. 103.5 should be interesting for two other Okies but unheard
during its absence: BBN satellator in Ponca City;and KCSW-LP, 31 watts
in Stillwater, but WTFDA says in the Mode column, ``none``!
103.7 at 0012, plug to text AM RADIO support, and `Radio Rewind` with
Hits of 1989; probably KEYN Wichita, 98 kW but not always audible
(Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR)
