No carrier is visible anywhere around 810.5 or 810.6. So, I suppose either our mystery carrier was not KXOI, or they have recently fixed the problem. Whenever I last reported it was when I last noticed it. 73, Glenn to Tim. Per the coverage maps at radio-locator, KXOI has a notch to the NE but I think this goes a bit south of the Enid direxion. Presumably toward Kansas City to protect KCMO/WHB. Axually I do detect a JJBBA carrier about 810.4 at 0641 August 9. Tim replies: ``Very interesting. I'm starting to think our mystery signal is either not coming from a broadcasting station at all, or at least not coming from a station on 810. Perhaps it's a much wider spur than the one we've been chasing on either side of 1450, and I just haven't found the other side of it yet. Unfortunately my Border Inn recordings are full of these spurious signals. Operating two Perseus receivers and two laptops in close proximity, with a recently-expanded power substation and recently-added EV charging station on the Nevada side has left me with more of these signals than ever. I'll be interested to see if this 810+ signal is still there when I return in late October.
