via MI / AB-CAN NoAM Perseus SDR units - remotedly.
Low audio modulation level.
5909.984 CLM 'Alcaravan Radio' S=7 signal at exact 06.00 UT this UT morning.
6010.015 CLM / 6010.067 BRA co-ch twins both S=6 signals at 06.03 UT.
6149.960 BRA 'R?dio Saturno' S=6 at 06.06 UT.
6184.963 MEX 'Radio Educacion' Mexico D.F. is back on their channel,
after some transmission breaks reported previously in August 2026. 06.06 UT
S=9 signal in Detroit MI / resp. Edmonton AB-CAN remotedly on Perseus SDR net.
Only empty carrier but no!! modulation traced so far.

FRANCE. 7340.000, Aug 15 at 1509, marine weather in French still
going for the Mini-Atlantique boatrace, S9+10/25 into UTwente. NO
signal on 17545 into Azores. Evidently the higher frequency would be
useless, skipping over everyone now closing in on finish line in
France if not already. Aug 15 was approx. date for end of the event

On Aug 17 at 15.04 UT only 7340 kHz still on air (15-16 UT),
but n o t on 17545 kHz anymore, the race is over now ?
U S A. 5130 -91 Hz = 5129.909, Aug 14 at *2355, WBCQ The Planet ID
& IS loop, S9/+15 into NH SDR, about to join 7490 for `AAAWWW`; but
not on 3265 or 6160, so it`s going to be a repeat. 0000 ID and WTO
theme, overexclaiming ``Get blastin``` and ``all we need is a radio``
...``it`s the week before Independence Day`` - see my detailed log of

** CUBA. 5024.86, Aug 18 at 0653, R. Rebelde S9+10 with music. I will
not speculate on power levels or sites, but Wolfgang Bueschel also
reports: ``CUBA 5024.860 kHz much frq oddity of a 5/10 kW low power
range reserve TX unit of 'Radio Rebelde', probably via Bauta site?
Noted at 0550 UT on Aug 18 via MI / AB-CAN NoAM Perseus SDR units -
remotedly. Low audio modulation level`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** FRANCE [and non]. 7340, Aug 18 at 1500, carrier has come on
S9+20/25 into UTwente with continuous ``knocking`` noise, the usual
defective Issoudun, but no Mini-Atlantique modulation. No signal at
all on 17545 into Azores SDR. I let 7340 run the entire hour:
gradually a trace of modulation appears, and the intonation sounds
like the usual French on this broadcast; rather than Kazakh, listed
7340 from XJPBS Urumqi. Music fill starts about 1549 and cut off at
1600* sharp just as timesignal runs from East Turkistan, now in the
clear. So is the race over or not? ISSoudun evidently makes no effort
to be sure they are getting modulation from the client (Glenn Hauser,

** HAWAI`I. Is WWVH off? Not hearing it via several remotes in HI, NZ,
Manila, Jakarta, Japan, HMB. Supposed to be 24/7 on 2.5, 5, 10 and 15
MHz. Jakarta is getting some other timesignal on 10 MHz, presumably
BPM. Anchorage has JBA signals from both WWV and WWVH, I think, at
0000 UT. Should become easier to tell into nighttime conditions. As
reported before, at 0442 Aug 17 I was getting WWVH only, in well on 15
MHz. Nothing here about any outages recently:

After posting above to WOR iog Aug 18 at 0009, in wake of Hurricane
LaLa, soon got several replies from those still hearing WWVH from
Kauai: Tony Pavick, Ron Trotto, Walt Salmaniw, Richard Langley, but
also this from Steve Hutcherson in Moore OK: ``Currently, WWVH
facilities are being renovated and equipment moved from building #800.
PMRF Pacific Missile Range Facility. Kekoha, HI. August 10, 2026 to
August 8, 2027, i.e. HigherGov.com -- unsure if this has any bearing

** HAWAII [and non]. Disasters at former SW station towns: Naalehu HI
- mudslides etc., KWHR; Noblesville IN - flooding, WHRI; Glenpool OK,

FoReigN? which eventually became in TX KCBI, KAIJ, and ultimately

KNRV-1150 {Englewood CO} and KNUV-1190 {Tolleson AZ} frequently air
the Mexican anthem from the Radio F?rmula network feed from M?xico.
Those are the only two remaining examples I'm aware of (They also
frequently fail to overlay the hourly IDs for XERFR-970 and/or

** OKLAHOMA. 27185 AM, Aug 17 at 2159, song about fascism, cut off by
2200. Obviously the Enid CB pirate, but gone before I could precise
the frequency or find an FM // by full bandscan beyond 99.9; and the
decrepit Broadway Tower stations on 91.1 & 105.5 are off again, while
89.3 KIEL Loyal has never come back since last reported AWOL. Anyhow,
unlikely to have been from any local FM signal (Glenn Hauser, Enid,

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2360 monitoring: confirmed Monday
August 17 from 1929.6 on SW Radio Gold, Germany, 6160.001- S9/+10 and
3974.998+ S9+5 into UTwente.
Not confirmed Monday August 17 at 2330 on WBCQ 7490 -74 Hz = 7489.926,
S9/+15 into Maryland SDR -- rather last week`s WOR 2359! replayed. As
usual, follows at least two minutes of dead air from 2328 tune-in.

abrupt cutaway from `Freedom Synergy Radio` which continues on 7780;
S9+10/20 into Knoxville SDR.
Also confirmed Tuesday August 18 at 1300 on WRMI 9955, S4/S6 JBA with
ECSS; as usual, no ID at ToH, goes from preceding show right into
WOR.

overmodulated / distorted, and splatter from it can be heard as far
out as 9830 and 10120; directly QRMing 9955 WRMI and 10000 WWV. Also
with the plus/minus 12.9 kHz modulated spurs at 9917.1 and 9942.9,
which are not a problem compared to the splatter. `` - Glenn to George

back to the other 9930 transmitter without the spurs and much less

like Bislama; 0658 recheck it`s already off. Ron Howard replied to my

change. On Aug 15, listening at my local beach from 0645 to 0658* UT,
to Radio Vanuatu (7260); song by Collin Raye - "Love, Me (If You Get
There Before I Do)"; PSA in Bislama about earthquakes; switched

it anyway: yes, nothing. They really need to quit suppressing harmonix

UNIDENTIFIED. Re 920 talk in English, if not silent KARN, what? Greg
Hardison, CA replies: ``I would bank either KYST (most likely) {Texas
City TX} or WGKA {Atlanta GA}, both with different varieties of
incessant Nazi blather. (WGKA was long ago the commercial-Classical
signal in Atlanta, where I was introduced to both Classical and Jazz,
as a post-toddler circa 65 years ago; AM 1600 & FM 92.9 back then,
heard on the family HH Scott-330 tuner, which I'm still using for
HiFi-wideband AM in my home system. It's disheartening to see those

UNIDENTIFIED. 1560, Aug 18 at 0700 UT, trying to ID the English
station in & out vs Vietnamese KGOW: Town Hall News. New NRC AM Log
shows 3 possibilities: daytimer WFSP Kingwood WV; KZQQ Abilene TX,
500/45 watts; and KTUI Sullivan MO 1000/25 watts. This was subject of
intense monitoring in late May, leaning toward KTUI (Glenn Hauser, OK,
