``You can eliminate XEZON. They are a typical INPI operation, only
broadcasting from 6am to 6pm local time, so they would not be on the
air at 0633 UT. If you go to their web stream outside of those hours,
you should expect to hear a generic feed of INPI programming, which
sometimes includes programs recently produced by individual INPI
stations, including their IDs. This is tricky for us western DXers who
might be listening around 6am. If you access an INPI station's web
stream before 6am, you'll get the generic INPI feed, and it does not
automatically switch you to the individual station's actual
over-the-air programming when the station signs on around 6am. If you
refresh the browser page right after 6am you'll suddenly get the real

ENID, Okla. — Chisholm Trail Broadcasting marked the 100th anniversary
of KCRC as a radio station during a ceremony Wednesday, Aug. 19,
2026.
KCRC, 1390 AM, was licensed on Aug. 19, 1926, and is “the
fourth-oldest currently continuously operating radio station in the
state,” said Bill Hurley, president and chief operating officer of
Chisholm Trail Broadcasting.
Only two stations in Oklahoma City and one in Tulsa have been in
operation longer, he said.
“I’ve been in radio management for a better part of almost five
decades, and radio is still — when it’s live and local, and we are
local with all these stations — it makes a difference,” Hurley said.
“Locally programmed, local people, local sales.”
Going on the air in 1926 also makes KCRC one of the oldest radio
stations in the country. KDKA in Pittsburgh was the first commercially
licensed station’s in 1920, Hurley said.
“Radio stations continue to defy all odds,” he said. “I mean, I’ve
been in this long enough, when FM was going to kill AM, when cable was
going to kill FM, when satellite was going to kill radio, you just go
down the list. There’s actually more people listening to radio at
least once a week in the United States now than there was in 1970.”
KCRC started as KGCB and was operated by the Wallace Radio Institute
in Oklahoma City. It was purchased in August 1929 by the Champlin
Refining Company, and the call sign was changed to KCRC — in tribute
to the new owners — and the station moved to Enid.
KCRC was a charter member of the Oklahoma Network, which was formed in
the 1930s. The station was purchased by Enid Publishing Co. in 1931.
Chisholm Trail Broadcasting, owned by Hiram Champlin, bought the
station in 1983.
Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce leaders and ambassadors was on hand
at the CTB studios Wednesday, as were other city leaders and members
of the public.
Chamber ambassadors conducted a ceremonial ribbon cutting, and Mayor
David Mason read a proclamation marking the anniversary.
“That’s what makes Enid’s heritage so rich, is that we have so many
companies and families that have been around for so long,” Mason said.
“So, it’s truly a treasure to us, and we are just so happy to be here
and celebrate this 100 years.”
Champlin spoke at the end of the ceremony.
“I just want to say thank you for the recognition of all the hard work
the staff does for our community,” Champlin said. “This is homegrown
and home-run, and you know you can walk in any time and let us know

at 302 meters. Last logged July 29. Would not have expected any tropo
