            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------

First up - President Obama takes Notre Dame head-on!

During the campaign the President remarked that abortion was "above" his pay
grade, but yesterday he earned high marks for his direct handling of the issue
during his commencement address at Notre Dame. Can the President find common
ground on this divisive issue? Here to debate this are Reps. Tim Ryan (D-OH)
and Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), as well as author of "Practicing Catholic" James
Carroll.

Next up - did the President shake up the 2012 Republican field by nominating
Utah Governor Jon Huntsman (R) to be Ambassador to China? Is it the perfect
set-up for a run in 2016 for Huntsman - a promising Republican? We'll ask Roger
Simon from Politico and the Washington Post's Chris Cillizza to analyze.

Donald Rumsfeld's top-secret briefings, which feature biblical images and
quotes. We'll bring you what they said with MSNBC Political Analyst Pat

And finally, in the Politics Fix, we're checking in on a former Obama rival -
the now globe-trotting Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. How close are the
communication channels between 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and Foggy Bottom? For
this and more analysis of the President's commencement address at Notre Dame,
we'll talk to Michael Eric Dyson, author of "Can You Hear Me Now?" and the
Washington Post's Lois Romano.
