I will say that I cannot figure out what the *27,"&l8C"
in the open execute is supposed to do.

&l#C (that's lowercase L, some number and letter C) usually means
Vertical Motion Index. In portrait mode, I see this mostly set to
&l7.16C in the VA.

Subject: [Hardhats-members] Inpatient Pharmacy MAR

We have 7 printers that we would like to use to print the inpatient
pharmacy MAR. Initially it would not print correctly on any of the
printers. Then we got a new terminal type and that allowed the MAR to
print on one printer. I have been able to get it to work on 3 more of
the printers, but it will not work on the others and I cannot figure out
why. It does a permature form feed and prints the last 5 lines of the
MAR on the next page. Here is the terminal type info I am using that
works on 4 printers.

NUMBER: 142 NAME: P-HP1300-P16
RIGHT MARGIN: 132 FORM FEED: #
PAGE LENGTH: 70 BACK SPACE: $C(8)
  OPEN EXECUTE: W *27,"&l0E",*27,"&l65F",*27,"(s0p16.67H",*27,"&l8C"
  CLOSE EXECUTE: W *27,"(s0p10H" 10 PITCH: $C(27)_"(s10h"
  12 PITCH: $C(27)_"(s12h"
DESCRIPTION: HP Laserjet for use with MAR
  16 PITCH: $C(27)_"(s0p16.66H" DEFAULT PITCH:
$C(27)_"(s0p16.66H"

I will say that I cannot figure out what the *27,"&l8C"
in the open execute is supposed to do.

Here are the devices.
First the 4 that work:

  PAGE LENGTH: 70
MNEMONIC: OB1-MAR
  SUBTYPE: P-HP1300-P16 TYPE: TERMINAL

Number 164 is an HP Laserjet 1300. The rest are HP Laserjet 4 plusses.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jim
