ScreenMan is an extraordinarily easy (intuitive) design tool. I can knock
out a fairly complicated data entry form in an hour or so. It probably isn't
as productive to compare SQL design time as to concentrate on the (non GUI)
weakness of ScreenMan. My wish list first item is a way to call a form in a
read-only mode that doesn't lock records. The next is to let user know a
locked record without hanging the system. As intimated earlier - I suspect
this may be a principle obstacle to widespread use in VA. And, of course
user management may be addicted to GUI. Known truth, I probably use only 25%
of the real ScreenMan power. Though an avid fan, I am nowhere close to
expert on ScreenMan.

Thanks,

thurman
