I dug up an old copy of the CCR from 11/03 that the AAFP was using for a model for the EMRs vendors they were vetting for their members. I didn't realize what it was until I dug back through my email. It has LOTS of fields.

The CCR or Core Clinical Record (I think) is virtually certain to be a feature and should be a standard by the time VistA-Office is released. I think I understand the issues. But, at least according to their web site, the HL7 CDA was approved as an ANSI standard in 2000. It's true that the CDA isn't inclusive of everything that needs to be in an EMR. It's also obvious that whatever emerges as "the" EMR definition will include what's in today's CDA. But perhaps I should have asked the question differently. So I'll ask again. Does anyone know if *any* export capability is something that the VistA Office EHR project is working on? But you're retitling of this thread raises a new question, at least for me. What do you see my question having to do with GUI's?
