Claudine,

I believe we should reconsider the VSA's active participation on these World
VistA calls. I don't really see any advantage in galvanizing the community
or provoking them either. Just let them do their thing. Perhaps the most
graceful way to bow out is to not recontinue the calls after the conference.

Internationalization - Francais
Continuing to look for volunteers on this effort.  Currently there are 6
dialog txt files with over 22K lines of phrases to be translated.  I
expect one dialog file to be complete by next week. If you can help or

Action Item: Claudine will continue to coordinate and update community
as translations are completed.

VistA Community Meeting Planning
Joseph updated the group about Oct 21-24 meeting in Greenbelt, MD.
Currently we at 38 registered participants for the meeting.  Please see

* Unification of Code Base among EHRs, presented by Rick
Marshall/Maury Pepper

Those of you presenting, please let Claudine know by October 13, if you
will require internet access during your presentations for logistics
reasons.

International Day Forum
Joseph talked about the international advisor group.  Planning is going

Configuring VistA
Kevin brought up the discussion about OpenVistA being configured and
developed for both platforms (G.TM and Cache).  Would anyone care to
elaborate since I wasn't taking many notes on the issue.  Thanks

OpenForum
David Whitten spoke about the OpenForum website.  Elsie had questions
about it and it's relationship to Forum inside the VA.  David clarified
that they are the same concept.

Vista Software Alliance
Barbara Boykin discussed the creation of a trade group designed to help
market VistA and lobby.  There will be a membership fee of $2500 per
organization on a yearly basis.  Barbara stated that it will be formed
soon potentially before the VistA Community Meeting.  Membership will
then be openned up for all vendors to participate.
