Just to clarify, I meant if I wanted to be selfish and wanted to write a MAC only tool - just give me an idea and I'll jump on it. I've been meaning to make use out of my Powerbook beyond the unix-like ability of using Fink and replacing my standard SUSE box for most of my productivity related tasks. I want to code MAC-only things (mainly to experience the development itself) but just don't have any good ideas to run from design/code to continued development.
I may have something to try now... still thinking... David, "Selfish" is a bit harsh, I think, even though I'm called MUCH worse most every day. ;-) You could use those same OS X tools and write in Java, maybe using it with the Fix-It tools. . . http://www.uku.fi/tike/fixit/download/ Also, maybe check out REALbasic. In addition to application development for Windows, OS X and Linux, supposedly it can be used to port VB apps to OS X and Linux (according to Novell). http://www.realbasic.com Chuck > ---------- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] on behalf of David Sommers > Reply To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Wednesday, December 1, 2004 11:17 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [Hardhats-members] MUMPS for Mac OS X? > > I wouldn't want to code with XCode on MAC for the same concerns with > Delphi for Windows - you're locking yourself down. > > I've recently been using #develop and other C# IDEs on OSX with Mono > (.NET) and it looks like a very promising cross-platform system.
