The VA and IHS use one or both of the following: - Dawning Technologies, www.dawning.com - Data Innovations, www.datainnovations.com
I'm not sure either could be considered "low cost" except perhaps when compared to the cost of programming interfaces for many instruments. VistA includes interfaces for a large number of instruments, but I guess the VA got tired of writing a new interface every time a new instrument was introduced so they went with the "data concentrator" concept. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joseph Dal Molin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "hardhats" <hardhats-members@lists.sourceforge.net> Sent: Saturday, January 29, 2005 11:15 AM Subject: [Hardhats-members] Lab Equipment Interfacing Hardware >I recall someone mentioning that there is a fairly low cost hardware > solution that is used in the VA that makes interfacing with lab > equipment with VistA a much simpler task....could someone please refresh > my poor memory: who is the vendor and approx. cost? > > Thanks in adance for your help. > > Cheers, > > Joseph ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IntelliVIEW -- Interactive Reporting Tool for open source databases.
