Ok, the problem I was having with the CPRS not communicating with my other linux box has been solved.
I am actually very embarrased to tell you all how.... UM... The firewall was on, on the CPRS client machine.... DOH! It is a good thing I don't have a twenty plus year history with computers to say I should have looked at that first. Oh... wait a minute... I do.... Your honor......
