This is the HL7 Link Manager - you only need it running if you are doing HL7 communication. Before you start it, I would recommend checking to see what messages may be waiting to be transmitted. I recently installed the latest OpenVistA SemiVivA, and without changing anything from the default configuration, there were eight links with autostart enabled, and one link (PSOTPBAAC) had 70 messages waiting to be sent to TPB-AUSTIN.MED.VA.GOV. If the HL7 jobs were started, they would try to send them. Of course they would fail unless you are on the VA Intranet, and the system is at least configured as a 'training' account, but I still 'looped' through the file and set all links to autostart disabled. There is a bit of setup required if you wanted to get HL7 running (site parameters, etc).

What is waiting to go:
GTM>d ^XUP

Subject: [Hardhats-members] Link Manager Not Running

I am wandering the Systems Manager Menu hierarchy tonight getting more familiar.

Where would one turn on the Link Manager. I haven't seen anything in my reading.

Incoming filers running => 1 TaskMan running
Outgoing filers running => 1 ***LINK MANAGER NOT RUNNING!!!***
Monitor OVERDUE
