I purchased, installed, and managed an entire hospital system with over 1500 MS workstations consisting of laptops and desktops. I hired experienced, knowledgeable network staff. In general, I did not have any of the problems you mentioned here. Of course we had occasional problems, but given the size of the total deployment, it was nothing.
