I do not know who set up the HFS device(s) on the FOIA. I vaguely remember a patch quite awhile ago to OR (I think) that provided instructions for all VAMCs to create a HFS device. So a HFS device is standardized in the VA. When you use Fileman to do a lookup on the device file, the input value of HFS should find one and only one match.
The Kernel documentation outlines how to pass parameters to %ZIS. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gregory Woodhouse" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <hardhats-members@lists.sourceforge.net> Sent: Tuesday, July 19, 2005 10:12 AM Subject: Re: [Hardhats-members] ^%ZIS question > It should select whatever device you get by entering "HFS" at the > device prompt. > === > Gregory Woodhouse > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > "Without the requirement of mathematical aesthetics a great many > discoveries would not have been made." > -- Albert Einstein > > > > On Jul 19, 2005, at 6:54 AM, Kevin Toppenberg wrote: > > > When I try to edit a record in the DEVICE file named > > HFS, it actually pulls up GTM-UNIX-HFS which has a > > mnemonic of HFS. > > > > So would a Cache' system have an entry like CACHE-HFS > > with a mnemonic of HFS? > > > > Also, when I set IOP="HFS", does this direct output to > > this GTM-UNIX-HFS, or does it short-cut that and > > directly write to the underlying HFS? > > > > Thanks > > Kevin > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies > from IBM.
