I work at Texas
Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso and our campus is currently
looking at the possibility of Open VistA as a EMR solution.
A little bit about
our institution:
We have outpatient
clinics on campus and around the city of El Paso where both Faculty and
Residents see patients.
We are currently a
two year medical school with 3rd and 4th year medical students on
campus.
One of the
reoccurring questions I hear from the doctors here is whether or not any
other teaching institution similar to ours has implemented or is planning to
implement Open VistA as an EMR solution. Any information would be greatly
appreciated.
