I guess my terribly unnecessary concern is that when
VA hospitals with current 32 bit whatever machine
( are they using Windows on Intel now? or IBM w/ PPC?) 
want to upgrade their hardware to new 64 bit Intel/AMD chip,
(very possible scenario in the near future)
the old database file should be read without manipulation
by the new platform/chip/M/VistA.  Good night.
